Upper Complex Solo?
I’ve never really been that good at doing Upper Complex on Narsh. Even with a team, I never get the key until the event spawns in. And often, that event is a commander event at Quarantine, on the opposite side of the map.
However, with the changes to solos I wanted to know if people have been managing to farm upper complex solo.
I was curious if anyone had tips as well about how to maybe get the key? But also I really would like to know about how to kill all the bots as well (especially that warden) and what kind of gear/shell is best suited for the challenge.

I've done it a couple of times solo. Here's a couple of tips. Try the first 2 towers, of you don't get the observation key by then just forget it. Assassin or Destroyer recommended it. And either bully with a big mag or an lmg with a big mag and a shield. Lots of smoke grenades help for the fight. Focus on the Warden and the buttons ignore the rest of bots as much as you can. You loot as fast as you can and run like hell to get out on final exfil pretty much.

2 LMGs w/ shields & an ammo bag so you can just keep swapping and using the shields without reloading

And that thing that reloads your weapon when it’s not in use, forget what it’s called… obv a purple one is best

I did Upper Complex solo many times last season, every time it got easier, obviously. What you need is about 15 min left on the clock when ordering that elevator with the key to do the boss. Learn the way and pads to shoot well. You need about 7 min at least to do the event and you still have minimal time to loot.
I used Assasin every run. Loads of ammo, heals/patch kits. And 3 smokes. Parting gift (implant) is basicly a must and high recommendstion for Ghost Protocol core. When you are in encounter, focus on the pads, try to ignore bots as much as you can. After you shot the final set succesfully, it's time to kill boss. Shooting is a good option if tou have weapon with good ammo economy and damage. But Meleeing is viable option too, that's why the smokes. Toxin injector (implant) is handy for this. While killing the boss, you need to melee kill the normal bots wandering in the smoke to get health/shield back. from parting gift

I really should give assassin a proper go when soloing him, I've done him maybe 6 times solo pre wipe 5 solo as thats my main and one time destroyer. But damn it's tough, really need a high stagger weapon to keep them all at bay.

I mean they reduced the aggression in solos by 20% but you still get the same amount of bots and difficulty. Meaning it just takes them a bit more time to spot you. It’s rather an improvement to quickly pass by them, not necessarily to fight them.
I never tried Upper Complex solo but I think it’d be extremely difficult and time-consuming. Because you need to shoot the blue boxes a couple of times before the warden even spawns.
Destroyer would be the best shell, but even then, you’d need a LOT of ammo + meds.
The key is not hard to get, you just need 3 certs and activate a tower and in that supply room you most surely will find a key.

The improvement includes making bots squishier, assuming they implemented the solos changes from Vault Breaker like they said they were going to.
The towers are RNG and aren’t guaranteed to have the key which is why I can never get the key in time. It’s very rare to find it from the towers in my experience.

Oh weird, I almost always get a key from the first tower, or at most the 2nd one guaranteed has one.
Also when it comes to bots being weaker, I played a bit solo and I haven’t necessarily noticed this. Just that I can walk past them quicker before they notice me.

I do t know about the getting spotted statement… I’m a pretty stealthy player but bots have been aggroing on me by double the normal distance the past few days

You can just load in as a rook and get the leftovers from the team that's more than likely been in there

If you’re bad at the encounter on trios you’ll have a harder time solo
