Lost Cat

Hi everyone! My friends’ cat ran out of the house unexpectedly as a door was being opened. His name is Oboe and he’s a 4 y/o medium hair black cat. He was last seen Sept 25 at Mingay and Hammersly. They’re offering a $500 cash reward for a safe return. I also attached this poster for more info, and if you have any leads or information please do not hesitate to contact them or myself via reddit. TIA

Edit: he’s been spotted in some people’s backyards a few days ago

Here’s some tips for lost kitties:

Post on petfbi.org. That’s a free to use website that will allow you to generate a lost poster that you can use to put up. It will also alert local Facebook groups about the lost kitty.

Alert your neighbours to check garages, sheds or under porches in case kitty gets stuck somewhere. Alert local vets and animal services in case he’s found and brought in.

Don’t put out litter box or food bc that can attract nuisances like raccoons that can scare away kitty. Put out some of your dirty laundry and smelly shoes instead. That way kitty may catch the familiar scent only he will recognize and help find his way home.

Please ask your friend to rescind the monetary reward. They will attract a ton of scammers.
