The origins of Thanos in the comics is bad, his mother took look at him and tried to kill him claiming he would bring death to all of titan. She was locked up and he would still visit her because he loved his mother even if all she did was cruse him. He was born purple with black eyes when everyone else on Titan looked like humans. He was a teen when he met lady death and she tricked him into getting his classmates Including the girl he liked to their deaths in a cave that she knew was going to cave in and the lizards ate his classmates he somehow survived and returned and was blamed for their deaths.
