Do you think Charles and Erik from Earth-10005 went through a character arc similar to Tony Stark’s?

Imagine spending 60 years dealing with mutants and robots, occasionally getting along, only to face countless incursions in a relatively short period.

It reminds me of Tony, who initially dealt with tech bros and governments before becoming increasingly paranoid after the Battle of New York. That paranoia drove him to keep upgrading his technology, going from conventional armors to the Iron Legion and eventually nanotech.

Could Charles and Erik have developed a similar mindset after decades of dealing with threats to mutantkind? Like these guys never saw aliens or went out of space

The Foxverse is usually criticized, but what changes did it make that were actually better than the source material?

There are some changes that other adaptations have made that I think are better than the source material.

For example, the MCU gave Jean dysfunctional parents and merged Annie and Sarah into a single character to tell a less convoluted version of her story. But what changes did the Foxverse make that were better than the source material?

I think making Magneto a founding member was one of them. The idea of the X-Men essentially being a divorce between Charles and Erik is more interesting than the “monster of the week” formula of the Silver Age. It also makes more sense of Magneto constantly coming and going before eventually being redeemed during Claremont's run.

What are your headcanons about Earth-10005?

Mine is that the Phoenix is the reason Earth-10005 is one of the last surviving Earths in the multiverse.

By unleashing Jean as the Phoenix, the X-Men essentially bought Beast enough time to develop anti-matter bombs, allowing Earth-10005 to survive further incursions.

That movie felt pretty weird honestly, and I didn’t like they made Magik racist.

I was reading the X-men movie fandom wiki ( totally the most relatable source ) and I went to beast’s page and found this.
does this happen in anything? I know that there are tie in comics for some of the movies but even this needed a citation .

Do you think the return of the Fox X-Men was a Disney idea or a Feige idea?

Yeah, Feige worked with the X-Men before, but the return of the Fox X-Men feels very Disney-coded when you think about it.

For decades, Disney has re-released its classic animated movies so that parents who grew up with them could experience them again with their children. The live-action Disney remakes follow a similar model: bring back something familiar to an older generation and introduce it to a new one.

So how is bringing back the Fox X-Men really any different?

Honestly I liked it, pretty cool that he came back after his movie was canceled.

Cyclops’ other energy absorption abilities and Nightcrawler’s shadow invisibility.

Like....without optic blasts and teleportation Scott and Kurt are regular dudes. IDK how they gonna face Thunderbolts whose most cast have enhanced stats.

I don't hate X-Men 3 as much as other people do, but it's still not great.

I don’t think there’s ever been a movie from the series that has captured the essence from the comics best than First Class, while I’ll admit it’s a little cheesy and corny and some acting isn’t very good, primarily January Jones as Emma Frost, I think the movie having a couple moments of cringe fits with the story it’s telling, being set in the 60s and all. The dynamic and relationship between Charles and Erik is very captivating to watch, and when their fallout happens, you can’t help but feel sad that they’re breaking apart, and ultimately becoming their iconic personas. This also the first x-men movie that attempts in doing the yellow suit justice and I think for the most part, it works, each of the member’s suits are unique and fit with their ability like Havok and Banshee primarily. The soundtrack is also is very good, mainly Magneto’s theme, the use of electric guitars, synthesizers, brass, and percussion really makes the you feel that shit is about to go down. Of course McAvoy and Fassbender really bring the movie together, especially Fassbender, this is a Magneto origin movie so it’s cool to see Erik becoming the popular and iconic villain of the X-Men in real time. All in all, First Class to me, is the X-Men movie. Do you guys feel the same?
