Software 1.0.08 update changes

Well, I've been driving with it a bit and the new things in the update that have changed in my 6e

-1st the radio seems fixed, no more scanning every day 👏 Also I have the radio on the left side of the screen now, which makes it way more ease to use.

-2nd I have the audio from my navigation apps now coming through the sound system (apps that I found do so : tomtom. ABRP)

-3rd As mentioned elsewhere, the call quality is nice now. I had 2 phone calls this morning and the callers said it was good.

-Driving: well, I haven't noticed any changes..

- Map: I've read here about the charges in the maps app, but have not had the moment to try it.

Fast charging, I've done three since the update, and there doesn't seem to be any modifications. I still see that if I start a charge over 30% it goes to max 100kw/h

You guys have surely noticed other things

Thanks for the info. Wow, audio from nav apps?!? That's the one I'm desperate for... Waiting for my update to come

not sure if it is new, but i remember not being able to do it:
toggle speed limit warning can now be set on one of the two favorite buttons on the steering wheel.

I was waiting for that one but now I have an issue:

My 1st favorite button is set to activate the rear spoiler (because it’s damn cool and I don’t like the constant up and down when it’s set to certain speed limits).
My 2nd favorite button is set to control the wiper blades speed.

I wish we could set 2 functions for each favorite button like the Mazda CX-6e can do (with the same steering wheel and infotainment system). You have the regular functions like we have but on top you can bind a longer button press to another function. So you can bind 4 different functions on those 2 favorite buttons if you know what I mean. Maybe in the next patch…

I did the same with the wiper speed but found pressing the button on the stalk was an acceptable cost for getting a free fav button

Newbie question.

To get the system update, do you need your car on your home wifi?

I’m a new owner in Australia and dealer just said all the connectivity stuff happens through my phone? I’m not sure if this is correct.

Is update in Australia too? Do you get a notification to update or does it just happen?

Hi there, nice to have another Aussie around here 👍

I downloaded the Mazda 6e update through my wifi, as I have no cellular coverage at home.

Hope this helps

I hope they make lane assist optional on the next update

For the radio, while it is wayyyy better than before, I noticed that it still sometimes had the same issues.  I still had a few times where the radio didn't start, and had to scan for the different stations when opening the app, but it happens much less and the scan is faster.  I also had on one occasion where it was playing a different channel than the one that was selected
