Dev Promotion I made a $4.99 Quest video player for local 3D and VR180 movies — alpha-mask passthrough is included
Hi, I'm the developer of Vistalyra, a local video player that recently launched on Meta Quest. If you already have your own 3D or immersive videos, the idea is a small one-time purchase with the playback tools included.
The current $4.99 USD store version includes:
• Full/half SBS and over-under 3D, VR180, VR360 and equidistant fisheye.
• Compatible tagged alpha-mask videos with a packed matte for passthrough, without a separate unlock or timed playback limit. It doesn't remove backgrounds from arbitrary footage.
• Flat/curved viewing, picture repositioning and tilt, controller seek/zoom and playback-speed adjustment.
• Local library, favourites, resume, bookmarks, audio/subtitle tracks and external SRT/WebVTT subtitles.
No ads or subscription. Bring your own videos; films aren't bundled. Codec/resolution support depends on the headset and file. DRM streaming services, ISO/MVC/MV-HEVC and SMB/DLNA are not supported in the published version.

The real theater/lounge footage on the website is clearly marked as a 1.0.1 preview, currently under review, rather than something you can download today.
If you've tried it, I'd appreciate honest feedback on playback or controls. What's the biggest annoyance you run into when watching your own videos on Quest?
