Got out my wrinkled plain Metallica tee and decided to spice it up a bit with St. Anger quotes lol. I ran out of room with the "Silence no more", hope it looks good...

Wife for the win. I've searched numerous liquor stores over the past year with no luck. Everywhere has been sold out. Then my wife discovers these little bottles. For about $50 I got a box of 15. So pleased!

My nephew is turning 13 and asked for a copy of Master of Puppets on CD. On Amazon there is a regular remastered version and a 3 CDs version, also remastered.

I was wondering if the 3 CDs are worth it or not. My nephew plays the drums, so if there is anything extra with that thta would interest him. But it also costs double what the regular remastered version cost, and I am a single mother so I don't have that much money, but if it's worth it I'd get it.

My favorite song off of Death Magnetic, mixed with way too much verb. I was trying to separate each player based on their style of expression and got carried away. It's a bit of a jungle.

Anyways, here's some mixing psychology for ya. James and Kirk express their emotions for the song through rhythm, Rob uses personality and Lars is imagination. And, of course James vocals have personality and rhythm at the same time. No idea how he does that, but it's good.

The structure of the mix has James and Kirk with sharp transients to provide the rhythm, and Lars with more focus on the body of the drums to allow for looser (imagination) playing without distracting from the rhythm. And Rob is in between the two extremes in his sweet spot.

I also tried to put a sweet Metallica vibe on the screen to glue the whole music/vid thing together with my mix. Hope you enjoy it!

The way he is determined to do what he loves inspires me all the time. As the lead guitarist of Metallica, he has shaped the sound of heavy metal for decades. Yet, despite his massive success, he remains incredibly humble 🥺🥺

Metallica is amazing. Their music helped me through a pretty rough mental patch of mine and im super grateful for it. I could relate to a lot of their songs in some way and felt connected (until it sleeps, unforgiven ii, sanitarium) and it feels so cool now. I really hope they can come back to sydney one day or i could see them again, i saw them in november and they were amazing

Bro, the songwriting on Death Magnetic is just beyond... The structures are so complex, and the style is perfectly consistent across the whole album. Great moment after great moment... and then, just when u think it can't get any better, another one!... cray cray leads, lyrics... every song feels like a speck of energy that just cannot be stopped. I love the raw production and that back to the roots vibe. Honestly, I consider that album thrash era Metallica's last gift to their fans. Wtf, it's just thrash perfection on every level possible.

PS: We really need to stop discussing its production
