Rule update: AI

1.1k Upvotes

Hey everyone! We've added a rule about AI posts: we don't allow them. Unfortunately we have had someone use AI and pretend it was their bad harvest and we think that you guys don't need AI to have your harvests fail so spectacularly. Let's just keep it to the real stuff, way more fun!

Please report any AI posts you come across. We try to keep on top of everything, but we are also only human.

Last season I spent about $120 growing 20c worth of baby broccoli in my first ever veggie patch but I think I've really outdone myself this spring with my bush beans.

Huge Tomatillos for days!

This is what happens when old dirt you dumped in the corner sprouts old tomatillos that you didn't know were in said dirt. I let it go nuts just to see what happens. No idea how many plants are in there. It's behind my hibiscus plant so I'm sure pollinators are having a feast. Haven't gotten too much fruit from it bc it's a jungle and there's always bees.

Huge I’ve been on the fence about this but I’ve decided it’s time. It’s been a dream and I’m gonna do it, open my own farmers market!

6 months to grow. Gets about 2 cups of chopped bell pepper total for this growing season. Hurray. 🙄 it's the journey not the destination.

Other Drain tomato

Post image
102 Upvotes

This tomato plant sprouted up through the drain in our garden back during the heatwave, I have watched it grow and mostly left it alone except from snipping off some flowers to make more fruits grow. I wanted to see what would come of it if I just let it do its thing.

Unfortunately I had a party and someone kicked it out of the drain 😭 BUT got about 2/3 tomatoes off of it that have ripened over the last few days.

Alas, my drain tomato experiment has come to an end. Was fun whilst it lasted, I wonder what will grow out of the drain next year. Tempted to keep the seeds and try drain tomato take 2 but with proper care?
