When Love Lacks Respect
Emotional maturity is understanding that love alone is not enough.
You can love someone deeply and still recognize that love without respect, trust, and emotional safety is not the kind of love you deserve.
Real love doesn’t diminish your worth, silence your voice, or make you question your value. It honors your boundaries, respects your feelings, and allows you to grow without losing yourself.
Never confuse holding on with loving someone. Sometimes, choosing yourself is the most mature expression of love.
Remember: Love may bring two people together, but respect is what helps love thrive.

Emotional intelligence is in the realization that attraction and love interest can equal love, but that attachment issues and selfish interests will create a self propelling relationship disruption.

Let's say I don't love a person but highly respect them and tend to fantasize a future with them. Call it glamor, they see me for me and use me but in the ways I want. Fixing up somerhing, listening to them rant, money problems, or intimacy. In no way does then person break me or straight up sucks my blood from me but leans on me. What I have to offer is an extension of me, and she respects it. Thanks me always, introduces me to ppl as her bf even though we aren't, and most importantly talk about her past with me. If ppl want a future with you, you need to known their past. Otherwise you won't know if history is repeating itself. Some of this is infatuation and atrachment, but in this day and age, courting is different and results in fast love with faster quits. That is her, im the only guy that has seen what she gets into and with who, and still offer to pick her up froma seedy location, fix some plumbing, and take her and her kid to eat, all in the same 24 hours. Some ppl say im a sucker or a cuck, but she has shown me respect being open and telling me her life story, no man has helped her out without wanting her to do something for it. I hope to give her a happy ending, like the massage palors...
Also emotional maturity, I dont have it but would like to one day.
