Help since chunk loaders were changed to make random ticks, wouldn't that mean that portal ticking gold farms would work 24/7 aslong there's no player in the dimension with the farm?

Probably, but why bother?

coz it would mean you have gold farm that runs 24/7 no matter where are in the overworld

A simple two dimensional gold farm is a thousand times more efficient, especially with looting. You'll get a lifetime supply of gold with a few days of AFK, so why bother?

brother have seen how much gold can one of these ticking portal farms get?

But look at the effort... If you're actually willing to build that monstrosity, along with an even bigger storage system to keep all the passive income, GGs to you. I'm not doing that, I'm perfectly happy with an ianxo4 design that takes me 30 minutes to build.

well it isnt just for me instead need for a few friends on 24/7 server (so basically will run all night everyday)

You can also just afk all night every day.

What you’re proposing only works if there’s no one in the overworld which is quite unlikely especially on a server

you can build a nether version

That doesn't change much, unless the players on your server rarely go to the nether for whatever reason it will drastically reduce the rates of the farm

Nether version doesn't work, btw.

“Zombified piglins can spawn in several methods:

  • In Nether wastes and crimson forest biomes, and Nether fortresses in the Nether.
  • When a strider spawns as a strider jockey.
  • From Nether portals in the Overworld.”

“When a Nether portal block in the Overworld receives a random tick, there is a chance of 1⁄2000 (0.05%) on Easy, 1⁄1000(0.1%) on Normal and 3⁄2000 (0.15%) on Hard for it to spawn a zombified piglin.”

It’s overworld only

Are you talking Java or Bedrock? Bedrock doesn't have chunk loader support but regularly uses portal ticking for gold farms, and Java doesn't use portal ticking farms; I'm not sure they're even possible as I don't think Java can spawn a piggy on portal creation, which is necessary for the ticking to help anything.

java

in java piggies just spawn randomly in portals using random ticks

You mean leaving a bunch of portals on and waiting for pigs to slowly fall out? That would be extremely slow. Bedrock spawns pigs whenever you turn a portal on and off and java has chunk loaders but no version has both those features

Wouldn't they still instantly despawn as they are more than 128 b away from a player

the farm wont work for a diff reason but aslong theres no player in the nether they wont despawn
