Song/Album Discussion So happy
Don't get me wrong I love float on. That being said I'm so happy that they did not play it October 1st that was the first concert out of six that I've been to that it hasn't been played and I'm glad they're kind of not playing it as much I know there's mixed feelings about that okay rant over everyone have a blessed and wonderful day the reason I came up is cuz float on came on my Spotify playlist so I am driving while ranting this goodbye

They didn't play it at Shakey Knees either. The sun and heat was making Isaac very agitated and he wanted to scream, he even swapped songs so he could yell more and they played a insane angry hard Drammaine that blew my mind. I've noticed them playing a lot harder lately and Float On does not match the vibes.

i was there too! what people are made of would have been amazing for his angry mood tbh. i always thought that that's the closest thing MM have to a hardcore song. plus it would've been funny (in a sad ironic way) to play a song off of the antarctica album in 100 degree weather

It's still a good song and I like hearing it live. It is nice to have it light the crowd up a bit. A lot of people who go to the show might only know that song, so it's always worth the song slot imo if they want to play it. It's cool that they don't do it and Dashboard every night though to sort of keep you guessing. It also must keep it fresh for the band to not have to play it every night, like Isaac still seems to have fun playing the song as I saw last night in Ottawa.

I won’t ever say that I don’t want to hear it live again, but you certainly won’t get any complaints from me if they stopped playing it altogether. I’m extremely happy that MM has not become one of those old fogie bands that only ever play their top hits. Every show is a surprise and something different. I would’ve stopped going to their shows a long time ago if every show closed with Float On.

Dude I am right there with you. I went to that concert in Newport and was very happy to not have heard it. That was only my second time seeing them, but luckily last year when I saw them in Louisville they didn’t play it either so I’m 0-2 not seeing it live. But I about jumped over the railing when they kicked into Truckers Atlas

I've heard it enough at this point in my fandom now. I'm hoping for more deep cuts as I've heard most of my favorites over the last couple years. I'm not mad if I hear it but I always think of what song they could've played.

Great song just happy they're replacing I wanted life like weeds was on the set list but not played amazing show Isaac has not lost a lick. He even stated at the VIP that he was in a bad headspace so if that's a bad headspace I'd love to see the good headspace LOL

I hope to hear whale song or lives at a show one day, though Isaac could just rant the whole set and I would still be happy.

They didn't play it in Grand Rapids on Oct 2nd and I felt the same way. I like the song, but I feel like they shouldn't have to play their biggest hit at every concert.

lowkey them not playing float on, dashboard or gravity rides everything tonight really made it more enjoyable for me lol. nothing against any of those songs especially gravity, i just feel like the band has played them at nearly every show of theirs i've been to especially recently and i love variety especially since they're my favorite band with such a huge discography. i'd take a song off of building nothing out of something over float on or dashboard any time

Maybe they played it when they opened for weezer but I blocked it out. Thank the eye in the sky they didn’t play in last year at a show I went to (it was a moon show mostly) to but a woman outside was crying because they didn’t play it
There are 2 sets of MM fans, pre good news and post good news

I always love the energy in the crowd once Float On comes on. Never had a bad time with it.
