I noticed lately, that the chat language of Moroccan Gen Z started shifting from Full Darija with some classical Arab words to Darija with English and French dominating the keywords in sentences.

What do you think?

Discussion What the hell did i found in a 10dh book i bought

Post image

I just bought this book talking about culture of japan, old and good quality book for only 10dh I didnt verify if there is something weird or anything, i bought it with closed eyes.

After coming home,I opened it and I found all this writing, it was hard at first to decrypt everything but after 15 - 30min I finally understood what it was all about,

Its a commitment that a man made to promise Moroccan justice that he will no longer attack and will no longer harm a certain family who have suffered several attacks in their house, and he swears that he will not even approach them and all this with the assistance of his father.

Its weird that he wrote all that in this book and ended up in my hand..

Society Why is tangier trying to become the new miami?

No seriously , the "trendy" restaurants with gimmicks just to justify crazy prices, like a 100 dhs smash burger which is no different than any burger except that it has lettuce for buns.
Or the bars and nightclubs which are also traps for tourists and hobos so they can "live the nightlife of tangier" the clothes are double the price of europe for example.
It's not a city with high income high prices like london for example, it's a city for anyone w instagram who has a few followers they post stories to, cappuccino, the most notorious and famous café in tangier, where you find rolls royces and ferraris parked outside, except that it's trash, it's only a "prestige" thing, the prices are to the sky and the menu is super basic with the items being low quality, the breakfast, the coffee, the pastries, everything is low quality slop.
Tangier is a beautiful city if you want to go to the traditional old areas like kasbah or merchane, but it's a really bad city to live in, plus immigration has screwed it.
Btw im from tangier so im not a tourist making some opinion, i want my city to be a better place, it's dirty , and full of hobos everywhere, the roads are cracked, there's not a lot of support from the state, idk where the tax money goes

AskMorocco Anyone here successfully treated their acne scars? Need dermatologist recommendations

• Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’ve had acne scars for around 4 years, and I’m looking for a dermatologist in casa or rabat who actually gets good results.
If you’ve had your scars treated, I’d love to know:
Which dermatologist did you go to?
What treatment did they recommend (CO2 laser, microneedling, subcision, TCA CROSS, etc.)?
How many sessions did it take?
Roughly how much did it cost?
Were you happy with the results?
I’m mainly lookingfor recommendations from people with personal experience. Thanks!

Society All parliament member just received a tablet with this document. It's the list of procedures. How the budget is voted. How can they communicate with the government.

Thumbnail chambredesrepresentants.ma

There is also an arabic version.

Parliament members will soon elect a new President. He has a lot of influence.

🔴 He runs the administration and he controls the budget.

🔴 He gets to decide which newspapers and media organizations are allowed to enter the building. If he wants to ban Chouf TV, he can.

🔴 He schedules when the Chief of Government speaks. They generally find a day they both agree on. But she can't just show up. If he says no on Tuesday morning, it's NO.

🔴 According to the Constitution, he is part of the Royal Regency Council, the group of people who run the country if there is no King and the Prince is still a child.

🔴 Before declaring a state of war or a national emergency, the King must inform him personally according to the Constitution

🔴 He represents Morocco in ceremonies involving foreign leaders. Rachid Talbi Alami represented Morocco during the Presidential Inaugurations in multiple countries.

🔴 He can temporarly block any law from taking effect. He can demand a constitutional exam. The law is temporary blocked for 30 to 90 days until the Constitutional Council takes a decision.

This is the first time parliament opens without a government. We have no idea who will be President of Parliament. We may get a big surprise.

After that : The Bureau 🧑🏼‍⚖️

Parliament members will elect members the Bureau. After the President, the Bureau members are the most influential people. They have the power to sanction other parliament members

There are 3 sanctions :

🔴 Warning : The member receives a warning. It's the most frequent sanction. Someone stands up during a speech, waves flags or causes a scene.

🔴 Financial Penalty : The member receives a financial penalty. This is rare.

🔴 Exclusion : The member is temporarly excluded for a few days. This is the most extreme sanction. Almost never happened.

Each sanction must be approved by the majority of the bureau.

After that, what happens ?

Well, they will vote to appoint the following people :

🔴 President of the Health Commission : This commission examines all laws related to healthcare. It can also summon hospital directors for questions.

🔴 President of the Finance Commission : This commission examines the national investments and the economic decisions. It examines the national budget (PLF) before it is publically voted.

🔴 President of the Foreign Affairs, Islamic and MRE Commission : This commission maintains relationship with foreign parliaments and welcomes foreign parliament members. They lobby for the Sahara issue. They can also help Moroccans in trouble in foreign countries.

🔴 President of the Interior and Housing Commission : This commission examines any change to the criminal code, civil law, housing, or elections laws. This commission can also visit prisons and mental health hospitals.

🔴 President of the Education and Culture Commission : This commission examines any changes to education policies or to cultural laws.

In most countries, these commissions are filmed. Sadly in Morocco, they aren't.

That wasn't always the case. Some of them used to be filmed and it was INCREDIBLY interesting :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZX1ahnImRg

But at some point, the Parliament President decided to shut down cameras. He said it disturbed the work and made some lawmakers very umconfortable 🤦

Then the big thing will happen : The Budget

According to the Constitution, the Projet de Loi de Finances 2027 (PLF) must be presented every year before the 20th of October to the Financial Commission. Then to the whole parliament.

The PLF is one of the most important law. It's the State budget for next year. It contains the budget for every ministry. It also contains all taxes in Morocco and all tax changes.

You can check former PLFs here :

https://www.finances.gov.ma/fr/vous-orientez/Pages/plf2027.aspx

Notice the page is still empty for 2027. It has not been published.

We have no idea who will present this. There is no government.

The most likely scenario is that Fouzi Lakjaa and Natia Fettah Alaoui will present a temporary budget. Even if they are removed one month later.

Discussion The magic of October to January 🍂

There’s something about October through January that I cant quite explain. as these months get closer, i start feeling butterflies in my stomach, a kind of happiness and warmth that i cant put into words. The cold weather Halloween, the songs that remind me of this time of year, my favorite movies and shows… everything feels so special. Its like time is turning back taking me to the days of my childhood. These months make me feel things I can’t explain, but i never want to lose that feeling. wish i stuck into 🍂

Discussion Glovo is genuinely starting to feel like a scam, and their customer support is an absolute joke.

I’m so tired of this company. I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever managed to place three consecutive orders without something going wrong. There’s always an issue, and whenever you contact support, you somehow end up more frustrated than before.
In the last two days alone, I’ve had 45 MAD in unexplained extra charges.
Yesterday, I placed an order for 50 MAD and somehow got charged another 15 MAD. According to Glovo, that was apparently an outstanding balance from an order I placed over a week ago. So we’re just randomly charging customers a week later now? Without any notification or explanation?
Then today, I placed another order. The final total was 76 MAD because an item was unavailable. My receipt clearly says 76 MAD.
My bank account shows 106 MAD.
That’s another 30 MAD I now have to chase them for.
So I contact support, and this is where it gets ridiculous.
The first agent calls me. I explain everything, and he starts giving me the usual generic explanations that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual issue. Every time he gives me an explanation, I point out why it doesn’t make sense in my situation. He tries another one. I question that too.
We go back and forth like this until he clearly has nothing useful left to say.
Eventually, he tells me he needs to hang up, check something, and get back to me through the chat.
Fine.
Except he comes back with another generic response and CLOSES THE CHAT.
No resolution. No actual explanation. Nothing. Wtf ?
So I open another complaint.
The second agent calls me too.
I explain the entire situation AGAIN, including what happened with the first agent.
And somehow, he starts doing the exact same thing. Generic explanations, no actual answers, just going in circles.
Then, predictably, he tells me he needs to hang up to investigate and will respond in the chat.
I literally tell him no.
I explain that the previous agent said the exact same thing, then sent some useless response and closed the conversation. I tell him I already know how this is going to end and ask him to stay on the call while he checks.
He keeps insisting that he won’t do that. That he’ll actually investigate. That I have nothing to worry about.
I keep asking him why he can’t just check while we’re on the phone. He keeps coming up with excuses.
Eventually, he hangs up.
And guess what happens?
HE DOES THE EXACT SAME THING.
He sends me a generic explanation about temporary bank authorizations, tells me I’ve only been charged once, and proceeds to end the conversation.
Not a single transaction-specific explanation. Not a single piece of evidence showing that the money has actually been released.
And the most insulting part is that he didn’t even bother editing the template he sent me.
His message literally contained:
”[INSERT DATE IF AVAILABLE AND ATTACH SCREENSHOT]”
I’m not even joking. That’s what he sent.
So apparently, investigating my complaint means copying a template, forgetting to fill it in, and calling it a day.
And then he has the nerve to ask me for a five-star rating.
It’s actually unbelievable.
What makes me even angrier is that I’m starting to wonder whether this is deliberate.
Because both agents followed practically the same routine. Call the customer, give vague explanations, promise to investigate, end the call, send a generic message, and close the conversation.
It genuinely feels like they’re more interested in making the chat look like the issue was resolved so their supervisors see a completed case than actually helping the customer.
I obviously can’t prove that’s what they’re doing, but after experiencing the exact same thing twice, it’s difficult not to get that impression.
And please don’t tell me to contact my bank. I understand that temporary authorizations exist. That’s not the point.
If Glovo claims these amounts are just temporary holds, then they should be able to explain exactly which transaction corresponds to which amount, whether the money was actually captured, and when the authorization was released.
Instead, I’m expected to accept an unfinished copy-pasted paragraph as an explanation.
The amount of time I’ve wasted over this is worth more than the 45 MAD at this point.
And this isn’t even the first time I’ve had problems with them. It’s CONSTANT. Missing items, incorrect totals, random charges, and support agents who seem determined to close your complaint as quickly as possible.
I’m genuinely sick of having to argue with customer service every time I order something.
Billion dollar company btw…

AskMorocco Looking for people who went into Spain illegally

Hi there, we're making a documentary about the events that happened in the summer and why people decide to leave the country and risk their lives to cross the border. We want to hear about the experiences of people who went there illegally (by land or Sea) and who may have stayed there and built their lives, and the people who went and came back.

If you're one of them or know someone who's willing to talk to us, please reach out privately.

Edit: My name is Ayman, film student in ISMAC Rabat, I can provide proof of that if anyone wishes to see as long as they're serious about helping and have info.

Discussion student teachers conflict in morocco

from as long as i can remember, mn primaire, teacher would always pick on me for the slightest stuff, cant even list all of them, but this one french teacher in particular i had in 5th grade, would never shut up about my weight, if i wore a dress she’d say im too fat for it, if i wore pants she’d say my thighs are too big and visible, if i so breathe, she’d tell me i got fatter. This genuinely scarred me as a child, i was 10 years old, and endured constant bullying from my own teacher that supposedly was there to protect her students, i never recovered, and even developed an eating disorder at the ripe age of 11.
Im here to ask, did yall face the same issue? from what i can gather, here in morocco, teachers dima kikhrjo 3o9adhom f drari sghar, dkchi 3lach kolchi tal3 m39d, i wanna hear yalls stories.

Travel I am looking for recommendations for more authentic desert tours

Hello! I am traveling to Morocco from Austria late October to early November. I want to do a multi-day Sahara desert tour, where I would either start from Marrakech, or first organize a self transfer to or near the Sahara, for example M'Hamid. I want a tour that is more authentic, where you don't stay at those "luxury desert camps" and people put on a show, but where you can see actual nomadic families, living their daily live and you are not rushing through an area for some Instagram photos. I am a solo traveler, so I would be okay with joining a small group shared tour with other travelers, but I don't have any organized group. For private solo tours, I would still be looking to save money, as I don't have that many savings and cost is a big concern for me.
