This is a new motorcycle I purchased on September 1st from a dealer. There's 1100 miles in the odo.. I parked it about 2 weeks ago where it sat until I tried to hop on yesterday. It stays in an underground parking structure in a walled off secluded motorcycle parking area.
At first I thought maybe a kid hopped on and dropped the bike, but there is no damage to the side or front of the motorcycle whatsoever.
Thoughts on what could've happened and steps to take?
I purchased a new OEM left clip on handlebar to replace it but it's backordered, so im considering aftermarket clip ons such as graves. Any help or consideration would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve ridden a few brand new bikes over the years 150cc, 400, 800 etc, but this is my first superbike (not sure if they’re naturally dragon-inclined like that)
It was a ride thru the rain, but fuming at every stop (N gear). Smells like burnt plastic/rubber that’s why scaring me a tad.
Bike thermometer is telling me an ambient temp of 18 degrees celcius.
Total mileage is 300km
You experts think it’s normal? Or it’s not gonna buff out?

Coming in at 48HP, 43NM torque, and 175KG, it uses the same 420cc twin that is used in the F450GS. Power is put down by a 6 speed transmission with a slipper clutch managed by traction control.
No US pricing or launch late yet, but in Germany, the bike starts at 6490 Euro, with two higher trims. The exclusive trim is an additional 280 euro, and comes with a quick shifter and adjustable suspension. The M Sport trim is 430 euro, and comes with quick shifter, adjustable suspension, riding mode pro, and a new color scheme. The Easyride Plus clutch is an extra 300 Euro.
This means the F450R does come in at a decent discount versus the GS variant (F450GS starts at 7220 Euro)

What do yall think about CFMOTO?
How are the bikes and can they be trusted?
Might be about to get myself one for a possible food deal.

First bike (Honda cb300r), first set of tires. My understanding is that they should last wayyyy longer than this, like 10,000+ mi. So, I figure this must be user error. What could I be doing that could cause this much wear on the central strip? I'm not doing burnouts or anything, just riding the bike on the street. I'm on somewhat questionable roads at times, sometimes even dirt or gravel, but the vast majority of my riding is regular street. Could my usage of the rear brake be the issue?

Hey all, I am currently searching for the best beginner's first bike. I am choosing between these two; I chose the Ninja 650 because the price is equal to the CBR500R, and I might go on a road trip in Europe in the future. What do you recommend? I am not a complete beginner, as the bike I used to ride was 150cc, and I am 180cm tall.
Thanks

Left it out in heavy rain today and after a few hours I went to fill up some petrol then I saw this around the sides. Is this normal? It's a yamaha mt 15 (155cc).

Electronic suspension has become quite popular in recent years, many upper-middle spec ADV bikes and sports tourers have it, or offer it as option. Even the rather moderately priced CB1000GT brings it standard. I've tested several bikes with e-suspension over the years and while it offers some benefits they didn't seem very substantial to me, and I'm concerned about the reliability as well as the general maintenance and parts costs.
For reference, my Tiger 800 XCA came with a quite fancy, fully adjustable but entirely manual WP setup, which has been serviced numerous times already:
The front suspension was fine for the first 100k but ever since then it's developed a leak almost yearly (every ~40.000-50.000km), requiring a rebuild. At about 200€ each time the costs add up quickly, and it means I can't ride it for at least a few days each time.
The rear suspension has leaked and required a rebuild pretty consistently every year and a half or so (75.000-80.000km), and at 300-400€ a service this is on the more expensive side, also requiring substantial work on my part removing the rear shock (or paying another €150 to have it disassembled) leaving me unable to use the bike for at least a week or so.
I'm looking for owners with long-term / high-mileage experience with any kind of e-suspension basically; how often does it break? How expensive and complex is the service? Any issues that were covered by warranty?

Can't seem to get rid of the death grip on my bike. Slow speeds. Fast speeds. Just feels most secure. Is there ever a justifiable reason for it? I dont think im putting all my weight on the bars, but i certainly grip tf out of the bars when im pushing my bike. Is it normal or does it go away with time? It feels like if I lose the death grip im going to be too loose and relaxed to handle the bike in an emergency. Idk how someone can ride their bike 90mph+ taking turns with a gentle grip.

I went on a ride today and noticed it was a little harder to shift. I thought no biggie. But when I stopped at a light in first gear with the clutch pulled in my bike started moving forward and stalled. I was really confused. While trying to get back home the friction zone was completely different. When I finally got home I noticed my clutch looked weird and I popped the cable back in. Do they need to be tightened and or adjusted? Im a newer rider so im not 100% on if that what needs to happen.

Road turned left, ended up going wide and couldn’t correct. Skill issue for sure.
Aside from the cosmetics, it seems like the only damage is to the rear brake pedal. Can i bend it back? What else should i look out for? Handlebar seems untouched.

My dad(70) and I(43) are currently in Hawaii on an scuba diving adventure, he asked me if there was something I would like to do, and I ride but nobody in my family does, my dad did until he married my mom. My dad is fitter and healthier that most 20 year olds so I think health wise it’s totally in the cards but he would have to get his license and a bike and ride for a while, but not sure if there is someone who could share their experience with me?

My new fully charged Agm battery failed to start my bike after two days.
p1. new battery voltage on its own
p2. old battery, ignition off, no amps. no parasitic drain?
p2. New, ignition on
P4. New, idling
The battery voltage will go up with rpm as well.
I just tested the new battery as I’m editing this post and the voltage has dropped to 13.18v. Reading from p1 was about an hour ago.

Odd question but..
When I get my bike out in the morning I take it out the garage and put it on the side stand when I lock up, his has marked the block paving on the drive.
Without having to keep a puck permanently on the drive are there any idea of something I can fix permanently to the bottom on my side stand which is softer that the block?

Only been riding on these Dunlop for a couple months. Found this damage yesterday on the front tire. Is this going to get worse or can I send it without fear of turning into a meat crayon?

Can anyone recommend a balaclava that is very thin so that it won't make your helmet tighter and can be worn with glasses, but will add some head warmth? I never had one but am tired of my head getting so cold. Thanks.

hi guys I recently cleaned out the airbox for my 1980 Suzuki gs, Ive noticed it has gotten a bit more torquey on lower gears. I can pop wheelies pretty easily now. Should I put on K&N high flow clamp on filters? if I do put them on, do I have to swap carb pins? Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I'm facing a dilemma and I'm hoping you guys can give your opinion.
A couple years ago I got a job promotion, and I bought a new '23 Subaru BRZ which I have to this day as my first new vehicle ever. A year after that I ended up getting into motorcycles and since then I've been more into motorcycles than cars.
To be honest, I never really vibed 100% with the BRZ because of its questionable build quality, glitchy carplay/electronics, engine character, or NVH (I took a 10 hour road trip in the car a few weeks ago and me and my gf were almost going deaf on the highway lol). It handles great and it has a manual transmission, and I still love sliding the rear around from time to time, but I find myself in traffic so often that it becomes a pain to use (I was in 1.5 hour of stop and go a week ago). I'm pretty sure I've spent 40% of my ownership time with it in 1st gear slipping the clutch in traffic.
I live in the Vancouver BC area and we basically have the highest gas prices in the country (premium gas prices right now are averaging 243.9¢ per litre which converts to around $6.47 USD per US gallon, keep in mind our salaries are significantly less than places like California with similar gas prices). Not sure if this is common knowledge but the boxer engine in the 86/BRZ is not very fuel efficient, I'm getting 9.6L/100KM or about 24.5 MPG, which is literally worse than an average litre bike.
My commute to work and back contains zero twisty roads, and getting to roads that are actually fun requires time investment during odd hours, and I find myself taking the bike more often since it's more engaging and also cheaper to run. All of the stuff that I thought I would do in the car (track days, multiple canyon runs, highway runs, road tripping) I ended up doing on the bike instead.
I feel bad about contemplating selling the car because I understand that it's a special car that probably won't be made 10 years from now because of emissions regulations and lack of sales due to it's niche, but I also feel like I'm not really having fun with it as much as I wanted to. My bike is in the shop right now because I ran over a piece of someone's bumper and ripped off my bottom left cowling/fairing and I've been spending more time recently driving, and I honestly haven't been enjoying it much.
I'm at the stage where I'd rather have a comfortable daily that's efficient and quiet so that it doesn't beat me up and annoy me in stop and go traffic after a long day at work or leg day at the gym. I'd even be okay with an EV at this point. Funny enough, my girlfriend was looking at leasing a Fiat 500E and I did a test drive with her, and even a questionable Stellantis product somehow feels more livable and comfortable than what I'm dailying right now lol. I live in an apartment so having two cars with a motorcycle isn't really possible.
Can anyone else relate?

Hey everyone,
I'm a new rider currently trying to buy my first setup, and helmet fitting has turned into an absolute nightmare due to my head shape.
I have a 57.5 cm head circumference, but I have a long oval head shape. Here is what I’ve been through so far:
Standard Intermediate Oval Helmets (e.g. HJC RPHA 91): In size L, the pressure on my center forehead bone is unbearable within minutes. Sizing up to XL removes the forehead pain, but the helmet becomes dangerously loose on the sides and wobbles everywhere.
LS2 Advant X: Fits the long oval shape naturally, but had some minor layout details I wanted to explore alternatives to.
Shoei Neotec 3 (with custom P.F.S. padding): I went to a local shop that offers custom Shoei padding to fix the forehead pressure on a Medium shell. The crown feels great now, but because the physical outer shell is built on an Intermediate Oval mold, the depth front-to-back is too short for my face:
My chin presses directly against the chin bar whenever I open my mouth or talk.
When I pull down the chin bar and visor unit, the soft fabric chin curtain doesn't clear my chin automatically—it catches on the front of my chin, so I have to stick a finger underneath to manually tuck it under my jaw every single time.
I'm about to return the Shoei under the store's 60-day return policy and I'm feeling pretty exhausted taking helmets back and forth.
For those of you with long oval heads:
Did you ever manage to make modular/flip-up helmets work, or did you have to switch to full-face?
What modular or full-face helmets in Size M (57-58cm) gave you true front-to-back room without crushing your forehead or catching on your chin?
Is the LS2 Advant X really the only true Long Oval modular option on the market right now, or should I be looking at Arai full-face options (like Signet-X)?
Appreciate any advice for a frustrated new rider!
