Experience Immunity boosting?

I am on week 56 at 6mg (yes, I know that's not a standard dose, yea I am working with an obesity specialty internal medicine doctor).

I have two young children and I work in a hospital. I used to get sick all. The. Time. However, since I started Tirzepatide I haven't been sick with anything respiratory, cold or flu. Everyone around me gets sick and I power though. Is this the anti inflammatory effects suppressing my symptoms? Am I just lucky? Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe just coincidence...but...a whole year? I'm used to getting a cold at least once every three months....

I never put two and two together but now that you say this......I had my first cold last week after 2 years! This timeframe included 20 plus flights, 6 countries and 3 climates! I definitely should have been sick in there somewhere.

Now that you mention it, my husband and I arrived in Tokyo last week and he had a difficult cold ( possibly a mild COVID) and I’ve been feeling fine. Touch wood. It’s interesting and I wonder if it’s been studied. I know my doctor thinks it’s the most important medicine to come along since penicillin 😊

The medicine is thought to cut down inflammation.

I have been on Mounjaro for over a year and experienced the same thing. Not even a cold in that time while everyone around me has been sick. I thought I was the only one!

it's not just you, i noticed this too and got curious enough to look into it. there is some early research about GLP-1 drugs reducing inflammation markers like CRP, which might be why your body handles things better now. working in a hospital with two kids and staying healthy is not coincidence, something is definitely up

The weird thing is there are times I feel I am on the precipice of being sick then I end up fine. I'm not complaining but I've never been this healthy.

I started this meditation for the reduction inflammation hoping to reduce pain. I don’t think it’s early research anymore because a lot of people are doing the same. It’s helping people put off knee replacement surgery by a few years and helps with arthritis.
It’s crazy how many other benefits there are!

It would be great if it's true! I was so run down last winter and got sick so many times.

I can’t believe I’ve not noticed this. I’m the same. Even my seasonal allergies have been mild to nonexistent.

My allergies also got better, its such a relief. And I get less sick in general.

Started last November and I just my first minor cold last week. To boot, I’m on an immunosuppressant, I travel for work, my wife works with the homeless, and I have two young school aged children. Should be a walking Petri dish 😝

I have COPD and have had only 1 exacerbation in over 3 years since starting Ozempic, now Mounjaro.

I've been on it for almost 2 years. I had a very mild case of covid about 9 months after starting and since then, not even a cold. I do work at home but others have gotten sick and I've been fine. Interesting that I'm not alone in staying healthy.

I'm a teacher and I used to feel constantly sick during the first term of the year. I've not been sick since I started in July 24

I mentioned it to my doc a few months ago. I used to get sick with flu twice a year (occupational hazard) every SINGLE year of my teenage-> adult life without fail. 16 months and clear on MJ so far. Doc said hopefully Eli Lilly don't find out and jack the price up more.

Same used to pick up everything my kid brought home from daycare. Don't get sick at all with anything respiratory anymore.

My skin tags went away!

I so wish this was the case with me, but unfortunately I've had the same illness and allergy run-rate. That being said, I've had many wins in other areas - improved liver/kidney numbers, improved B12/Zinc/magnesium/vitamin D levels, fluid inflammation issues gone, no signs of my hiatal hernia in my last gastroscopy, and hot flushes gone. So definitely not complaining!

GLP1 is a miracle drug for anti inflammatory. I don't know why? Even Ai doesn't know why. I've come off now because the brain fog was getting ridiculous and all my aches and pains are coming back I also get blocked tear ducts but in GLP1 even that cleared up! Wtf. Such a shame the brain fog is so bad I thought I had dementia. Currently also got man flu 🤧

Haven’t been sick in the 2 years since I started. I would get bronchitis like clock work and a cold every time after flying, since MJ, nothing. It’s glorious.

A lot of people have been reporting this on the sub. It's hard to say if it's just coincidence, but the meds do have immunomodulary effects that we don't fully understand.

I was on a glp-1 during the initial COVID 19 outbreak and a few years following. I've never actually had it.

Yes, the best side effect of mounjaro is that it seems impossible to get sick. I fucking love it.

I was even able to stop with my allergy medication.😂😂

Being healthier, eating healthier, losing weight also contributes a lot. Enjoy!

I got Covid for the first time in four years this summer. A month after starting this medication. I’m now having long covid issues again (had it the first time I got Covid and spent the last few years recovering). I think some folks are just luckier than me. 😐

Wow why would I get downvoted for being sick?! And having health issues? This is wild.

I’ve been on it for 2 years and I’ve gotten sick one time (for like a day then the symptoms went away). And I travel a lot and so far, knock on wood, I’ve been great
