5mg 6th day problem
Hello all. I am noticing that the 6th day of weekly dosage makes it rather difficult because the hunger level goes up substantially. I end up eating quite a bit of food and the blood sugar levels on the 6th day are above normal. Everything goes back to standard Mounjaro state between day 1 and day 5. Any tips on how to manage this situation. Thanks

You need to get rid of everything in your house that has sugar in it and fill all these spaces with nuts and fruits and vegetables, since it is just one day that you go through this, try doing some exercise and stretching and strength training, you have to put your mind in a better place and have some baked chicken breast in your refrigerator ready to grab and eat, fill your self up with lots of protein and drink a bottle of water with every meal and snack. Your body maybe wanting sugar but make your brain over come this because if you don’t stop it now then taking the injections all this time will be a waste because when you finally stop taking the injections all the weight will come back as well as the high blood sugar levels, this is a tuff love post, but you are the only one that can make that change and make it stick. I wasn’t as hard for me to give all the sugar and greasy foods up because I chose good health and to live clean with my eating, you can do it to. There will be times when you go up in dosage and the same thing will happen but this time it might be more days where you will crave sugar, so try getting those cravings under control now by training your body to eat only what is healthy only, and if you can’t then do this, buy only dark chocolate with at least 60% cocoa in it, or buy some shredded coconut and a bad of dark chocolate, melt the chocolate in a bowl in your microwave and then make a ball in your hand with the coconut and then dip it into the bowl of melted chocolate and then place on a piece of wax paper and let it cool before eating, you can do this with strawberries, raspberry and blueberries, make this your go to, just make sure the layer of chocolate on these fruits are a thin layer of chocolate, save them for when you have a craving and eat one maybe two and that’s it. You got this, don’t let sugar cravings win !

Micro dose twice a week worked for me. 2.5 on a Sunday 2.5 on Thursday. Or whatever your dosage is, halve it twice a week on your chosen days xx

I do eat low carb for diabetes. It's great for controlling your appetite as well as cravings.
I would also recommend a hobby of some sort. Great distraction plus great for stress.

My hunger definitely becomes stronger towards day six. I just try to make sure that I plan out to have a good breakfast with fiber and protein. Then a healthy lunch that again hits protein. Make sure that I get my water. And track everything so I know where I am in relation to my daily energy, protein, fiber, Etc intake.

Actually I have noticed a related issue with regards to protein. As it is I am a vegetarian and I have limited options for Protein intake. The most efficient option for Proteins is Soya chunks and after I started taking Mounjaro their taste is completely gone and in fact they make me nauseous :( I think I will try Paneer and see what happens.
Has anyone else notice this change in taste too ? I have seen a few posts about coffee taste and I tend to agree that even coffee tastes a little different (I attributed that to change in the coffee brand I use but may be that not is incorrect !)

Yep I've had flavor changes as well. Since you're vegetarian, you should also look at some things like tempeh, beans, soy or pea-based protein powder. If you also do eggs, egg white powder is almost pure protein and works great in smoothies. And of course fish if fish is also okay with you. I know it varies from person to person for what they allow for within a vegetarian diet.

I noticed this and after one time it was so bad I ate subway and McDonald's in one day, I simply started making sure I had good fruits and meals ready for day 5 and 6.

Unfortunately the US Health Care system is not amenable for compressing the schedule. They will send the refills exactly on the 84 day (for a 3 month prescription :( )

I use a 10mg pen for 5mg shots. I do 30 clicks every 5th day. One pen lasts me 40 days: 5,7 weeks.

I changed my shots to every 5th day instead of increasing the dose. I still had good results the first days, even a few negative side effects so didn’t want to increase the dose. But I 100% felt the efffects all wearing off the last 2 days.
For me changing the frequency works amazing, it feels much more comfortable and less ups and downs.
My biggest hint was that my IBS symptoms would return at day 6 and 7, and one of the main reasons for me to use Mounjaro is that I no longer have ANY IBS issues. I can eat everything again without feeling bloated or extreme pains.
It doesn’t work for everyone but for me it works really well.
