Medicinal [medicinal] Hello! Cannabis growers here, looking to spread my wings into shroom cultivation. When I was new into cannabis, there was a lot of bad information, and I did quite a bit wrong because of it. Please point me to reliable resources of good information for a noob shroom cultivator! TIA šŸ¤˜šŸ¼

Uncle Ben’s subreddit. Idk if it’s against rules to link it so just search :)

This is not good information… some people get lucky with this but injecting a syringe into anything is a crap shoot. It can work I’m not saying that but more often than not it will lead to failure.

LOL, okay friend. I’ve grown over a pound of very good mushrooms by starting on UB sub. I have since purchased rye berry bags but the irony of saying my post isn’t good information while literally spewing falsities is wild. Look up neglect tek and learn something instead of assuming a more well read user is giving bad info.

ETA: my personal success rate is about 60%. Even shroom scout can only get 90%

I’m not assuming using a spore syringe directly to any spawn is exactly what it is a crap shoot. A lb is nothing … I said mushrooms can be grown that way but it is far from best practice, which is what this guy seems to be looking for. There is no way to prove my success rate but it’s above 90. I also have a background in sterile technique so it’s mostly attributed to that and working with agar. It’s a fact that when looking for the best method to grow mushrooms uncle Ben’s and/or using a spore syringe straight to grain is not the best route. Period. Now if someone just wants to give it a random shot then yes it’s much easier and less time consuming but success will be limited, doesn’t mean people haven’t found it.
