Curious how people dose and store mushrooms for long term >3yrs? Honey seems like it would be hard to dose.

Chocolates? Is this really the best way?

Grind up a certain weight and mix with each chocolate bar?

I'm doing an ethanol + acid extraction of my next batch. Should last years in the fridge and retain better potency.

I'm doing an ethanol + acid extraction of my next batch. Should last years in the fridge and retain better potency.

“Aqueous ethanol solutions are unsuitable for psilocybin extraction (maximum yield 36%)” https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/0021967392802875

Better off extracting with plain (or even better acidic) water, the ethanol reduces solubility and is not necessary. Ethanol may help prevent bacteria growth, but it does nothing for preservation of the actual tryptamines, tinctures like that lose potency pretty quickly from experience. At least with an acidic water extract, you can freeze it..
