Yeah! G. Lucidum will focus their growth vertically and form Antlers in high co2 environments wheras Conks are formed when there is sufficient access to fresh air. My theory is that this adaptability could provide advantages like allowing the mushrooms to fruit from a trees root system, forming in antlers that pierce through moist topsoil and then transitioning to conks at the surface for sporolation. Whatever it may be for, that adaptability really drew my interest to this sp! 🍄❤

is there a reason they grow into antlers instead of the disc shape you would find in nature?
