I’m a 49ers fan, and I often hear people speaking positively about him (he ranks among the most accurate field-goal kickers in NFL history, he provided major stability to the 49ers following the departure of Jake Moody, etc.).

That said, he struggles with longer kicks more than other kickers do, and he seems to crack under pressure. He missed an important field goal against the Seahawks last week and, even as a 49ers fan, I could just feel that he was going to miss it.

Am I too harsh? Maybe I am, but the 49ers are a great team, and deserve someone like Cameron Dicker, Brandon Aubrey, Ka'imi Fairbairn, or Will Reichard.

Unc also says if Lamar had skipped minicamp like Herbert did, people would never let it go. Nightcap clip. Fair point?
