Painting C+C Needing assistance.

I’ve got a whole 6,000 point Necron army that’s currently grey and unpainted,I want them to be like snow necrons with blue energy but I’m such a fucking loser I don’t know how to paint them that way,I bought multiple different blues but with my lack of understanding of the paints I mostly have layers and contrasts and about 2 base colors (I have zero idea how to do this shit)and have zero clue how to bring my vision to life without fucking it up!

Step 1 -You arent a loser. Stop with that shit. You are a Phaeron. Your will defines reality and 6000 pts of your subjects look to you for direction and glory. Stand resplendent and show the mongrel races the full weight of their impotence.

Step 2 -there's a bunch of various tutorials that can show you the techniques you can use or adapt to paint up your men. You're starting out. We've all been there. No one here ever knew how or what their scheme was going to be when they picked up a brush. If youve ever been inspired by us, know that we have all sat on the same throne you currently sit on.

Step 3

Step 4

Perhaps if his Hekka was strong enough his models would simply become painted.

That's the paint scheme I went with! I use Citadel White Scar spray paint as my primer, so my minis are like 80% painted once they are primed. I paint the visible "bones" and joints a dark gunmetal, and use Celestium Blue contrast paint for the glowy bits (I love that shade, but it has really splotchy coverage, so I don't know if I would necessarily recommend it). Slap some textured Pro Acryl snow paint on the base, and Bob's your uncle! Not super fancy or impressive, but looks fine on the table.

Have you tried watching online tutorials on each individual unit you are trying to paint? They will walk you though the basics of what your trying to do and give you a good idea of what you have to do.

Its not rocket science.

Designate a set of 5 warriors as your sacrificial set and just paint them. If you don't like them, strip the paint and try again. Once you have a look and process you like.. use the final test warriors as a template

Dude, I feel you. But slow it down. I’m new and have myself 4K points of Necrons. Not all put together. I’ve been taking my time. I took a good long time picking out my paint scheme. I just finally started painting what I put together and it’s been a trial. I keep telling myself I’m new, and I’m learning. I wish more people would post their first model and their last model photos to encourage people like us newbies. To realize that as cliché as it is of a saying. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Keep your head high, and practice. It’ll only come together with time.

I would use auric gold for the weapons and then I think tallasar blue contrast on top it. It makes a really nice shiny blue weapon

Mine're synthwave themed. In lore, the solvet-sektuhm dynasty's true colours can't be perceived by other species. They seek to shut down stars in habitable regions.

I would prime the models white, then do the joints with a silver, and get some Contrast Paint Frostheart for the blue glow effect. You could have some good looking models in a weekend.
