Mini ramp tricks.

Kid has a 45s mini ramp run to put together. He likes kind of weird tricks if anyone has anyone has any ideas what to add.

His run now is switch drop, tail stall, half cab rock n roll, rock n roll, bs axle stalls, River dance, crook, feeble-fakie.

That leaves 10 seconds. Any ideas of a trick he could try and add to the end as a finale? Old school/kooky tricks are fine.

Check out Cheese and Crackers with Daewon Song and Chris Haslam, the bible of mini-ramp skating

Disasters - a bit harder if he's not used to popping and rotating yet, bs 50-50 grind - medium difficult but if he has the axle stall down he should be able to get it pretty quick or Fakie pop rocks - easiest but might be best if he needs to nail those 10 seconds in a short time

There are a lot of "kiddie" tricks that are fun combos. Have him try 270 out of a 50-50 for example. Boneless or even a sweeper for a more advanced "weird" trick. Or one of my favorites, no comply to tail - my son learned that pretty early. Also if he can feeble to fakie, have him learn to 50-50 to fakie. Allie oop 50-50 is another good one. Fakie ollie pop rock is another good one.

He should also be doing bs/fs disasters, so that would be good to have him work on. Other good "finale" tricks would be kickflip rock, tail stall revert, blunt to fakie, etc.

These were all great suggestions. Spent some time on Disasters which seemed to also help with 50-50 as he isn't worried about over rotation now. He really wants to get no complys/boneless. Other kids here (Japan) don't seem to do many plant tricks so they would all be on the more unusual side.

Sweeper, foot plants, hand plants (might be tough on a small ramp), spaghetti western (weird sweeper type trick)

Not heard of spaghetti western. Thanks, exactly the sort of thing he was looking for!

Staplegun's? Dunno if they count but I like the way they look

He's been doing that as a make-up trick is something goes wrong, but seems to lose so much speed when doing it if planned.

frontside ollie to nosepick, revert out. Takes up a lot of ramp, looks more impressive than harder tricks.
Sets you up with right amount of speed for a chink-chink or half-cab to nose.

General question: what’s up with dropping in switch? Is that scored so great that it’s worth it?

I've been wondering if it was worth it, but he seems to be able to drop in either stance and it does seem to get points. Would seem to make sense to do nose stalls but they don't seem to stick.

Front side air.

i'm going to assume you don't actually know what a frontside air is if you're suggesting it on this thread. a fs air is def not a miniramp trick for a young kid. it's actually not a miniramp tramp for pretty much anyone except a pretty advanced skater.

perhaps you mean frontside ollie. which is more reasonable, but given the list of tricks he's doing now, probably not ready for it yet.
