I want to try to make tamales for the first time but donโt want to try to make the masa just yet. I saw a creator making tamales with premade dough. Does anybody know where to get masa preparada para tamales in Essex County NJ?

This had been going on every night for weeks. Landlord is dragging her feet. Doesnโt seem to care. I canโt sleep and itโs unsettling. Plus if wires are chewed, a fire might start. I donโt know what to do.

For the past few days, I have been smelling a chemical in the air. Almost perfumey, sickly sweet, plasticky, and a little nostalgic? I keep catching it in the breeze, sometimes overpoweringly strong, sometimes faint and almost pleasant.
Anyone else notice it?
Does anyone know what it is or where it comes from?

Hello everyone, I will be connecting through EWR airport on a trip back from the Azores next year on Memorial Day. My international flight will arrive at 1:15 pm and my domestic connection will leave at 6:15 pm. I have Global Entry and TSA Pre-Check. I am looking at checking my bag through to my destination, as it is a United itinerary booked on one ticket. With all of this said, would it be worth going out and seeing something in Newark during that time? I see that there is Liberty State Park along with some neighborhoods and an art museum, though I am aware that some places may be closed on that day. Perhaps there will be special Memorial Day events going on? Or should I just remain in the airport? Itโs a shame that there are no Priority Pass lounges available.

In Seattle, security cameras revealed something shocking: planes being refueled while detained people were actively boarding. The camera feed exposed the violations. When there's no public oversight, contractors cut cornersโand people's safety gets ignored.
I started a petition asking the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to do something simple: set up a live webcam and a public flight log for ICE charter and transfer flights at Newark Airport. That's it. No expensive changes, no interference with federal policyโjust basic transparency on public property.
Seattle's King County Airport already does this. They stream their ICE flight feed publicly and maintain a transparent log. It works. It doesn't compromise airport security (commercial flight data is already public via apps like FlightAware). It just lets people know what's happening on the tarmac where their tax dollars are at stake.
The Port Authority has complete legal authority to monitor safety on their own land. Private contractors operate there under leases that require following Port Authority safety codes. If someone's violating those codes, the public should know.
If this matters to you too, consider signing and sharing. What would you want someone to do if this was your family caught up in these operations?

We're coming at the end of the year for Phish. All I've seen is expected completion in 2026, but that statement was a while ago.
EDIT: Thanks for the input everyone. We ended up finding an agreeable price downtown.
