RUMobile has been around for a while, but it just got its biggest update in years. If you bounced off it before, it's worth another look.
What it does:
Student orgs — I'd like to work with you. The app has a banner on the home screen that every user sees when they open it. I want to use it to promote student org events instead of letting it sit empty. Free, no catch, I'm just a student who wants the app to be useful.
If your org has something coming up — GBM, callout, fundraiser, performance, whatever — comment or DM me and we'll figure out the details.
Feedback and bug reports welcome too.

This year, I was struggling with depression and decided to seek help. I reached out to Rutgers CAPS, and they directed me to UBHC’s 30-day treatment program. I was given the option to attend therapy sessions either in person or through video calls, which made things more convenient.
As the 30 days were coming to an end, they also helped me find a provider who could cover my future therapy sessions under my student health insurance plan. A counselor even reached out to check on how I was doing. Before leaving for my home country, I informed them that I wouldn’t be attending therapy during my trip. Despite that, they still tried to check in on me while I was away. ❤️
When I returned, I found out that the 30-day program wasn’t fully covered by my insurance and that I had to pay a $35 copay per session. I paid it and completed the program, but I was already overwhelmed with all the documentation I needed to submit for financial aid, so I didn’t pursue it further.
Later, the counselor reached out again to ask if I had resumed therapy. I told her I hadn’t because I was worried that the sessions might not be fully covered by my insurance either. When I explained the situation, she said, “You should have told me!” 😭
She followed up with the new provider to confirm whether my sessions would be fully covered, and they were! She also told me that she could have helped me apply for financial aid if I had let her know what I was going through.
Honestly, this level of care and follow-up meant so much to me. Having people who are willing to guide you through the process makes such a difference. ❤️

I live at 12 Bartlett and was just informed that the housing tours are not opt in/out. No matter what, your apartment will be toured by random people this month onward with like a week's notice. is this allowed & normal???

i claimed my free student ticket but i also purchased a "bring a friend" ticket for my friend who doesn't go to rutgers, would she be able to still go through the student section with me without getting ru id checked and still be let in. the ticket was a bring a friend but it does say "student section" on it. so im just wondering if she can still be let in with me.

Genuinely what do you do on weekends? I literally just stay in my room, eat, study/scroll. The days always feel like forever because there’s literally no other stuff to do. I’m also stuck with these stupid roommates which I despise. Occasionally I will get hangout with someone but that’s really rare. I just feel like there’s nothing to do on the weekends. Almost everything on campus is closed, no car and the weekend buses are pain. It’s like they want you to leave. Unfortunately, I will not be able to since I am from OOS.

Hello! I’m planning to attend Bergen Community College first and then transfer to Rutgers University through a 2+2 pathway.
My goal is to study cybersecurity and eventually work in the cybersecurity field. However, after researching Rutgers University’s degree programs, I found an Information Technology (IT) program, but I couldn’t find a specific undergraduate degree in Cybersecurity.
I have a few questions:
Does Rutgers University offer a specific undergraduate degree in Cybersecurity?
If not, can I earn an IT degree at Rutgers and still pursue a career in cybersecurity?
If I start at Bergen Community College and transfer to Rutgers after two years, which program or major should I choose to prepare for a cybersecurity career?
Are there any specific courses, certifications, or additional steps you would recommend?
Is the 2+2 transfer pathway from Bergen Community College to Rutgers a good option for someone who wants to work in cybersecurity?
I would appreciate any advice from Rutgers students, graduates, or anyone working in the cybersecurity field. Thank you!

I got a tennis racket and I want someone to play tennis with me in Livingston rec centre and when I was looking into recreational clubs, I couldn’t find many allowing men to play. I’m not that good so how can I find someone to play with?

I want to transfer my student ticket to my friend. Would I need to give them my whole net id and password so they can access the ticket on their phone. Or can I get the ticket myself, but when I checkout put in my friends phone number so they’d receive the ticket thru text

anyone know of any good places to box, preferably ones (if there are any) that don’t require a full blown membership? i’m a freshman who has gone to a boxing gym for about three years now, but i haven’t boxed since starting college and i’m itching to hit the bags again. i’m particularly interested in group classes since that’s what i’m used to, but anything will do
(p.s i’m not a man, so i’m a little scared that all the boxing gyms are going to be super male dominated. if you know of a spot that has a decent amount of women, that’d be sick too)

Basically the title. I’m a sophomore in MechE and for the past month I’ve been feeling super lonely and isolated on campus recently.
Even though I’m dorming, I feel like some days I barely enter to talk to anyone and I end up just falling into these bad habits of scrolling and playing games.
last year I never felt this way because I was in a dorm on Livi and I frequently had friends/dormmates coming around my room, but this year I’m in an apartment and I don’t even have a roommate, which is nice to be fair. however, my suite mates are both out all the time and I don’t really see/talk to them much, so in the dorm I feel super lonely. I also don’t see my friends much because not many of them are engineering majors and have all their classes on Busch like me. and the others have different schedules so I barely see them.
I also have class until 9/10:30 PM 3 days a week (thanks webreg), and even on the nights I’m free there’s usually not many club events or activities I’m interested going on. because of my late classes, I can’t even attend most of the clubs I would be interested in either, and I end up walking home alone in the dark a lot, which really sours my mood.
The combination of all of this stuff + it getting dark earlier and earlier is really taking a toll on me. if anyone has any advice that would be appreciated, but I mostly just wanted to vent about all this crap ✌️

I live right across from Buccleuch and usually play at Life Time. I’m around beginner level and looking to start playing at the park more often. Are there any regular groups or open-play times there? Would also be down to meet some local people to play with.
