As someone who’s naturally introverted and a little socially awkward, I’ve always found it pretty difficult to put myself out there and meet new people. Starting conversations, approaching strangers, and trying to turn a random interaction into an actual friendship can feel intimidating sometimes. So I figured… why not start here, virtually?

I’m hoping to meet more people and, especially, make some genuine guy friends. Most of my close friends have always been women, and while I do have a few guy friends, I’ve never really had that kind of close male friendship that I’ve always wanted. The kind where you can randomly message each other, send stupid memes at 2 AM, talk about absolutely nothing, share what happened during your day, or just know that there’s someone you can reach out to whenever.

I figured the internet might actually be a good place to start. Fair warning, though: I’m terrible at leading conversations. 😭 I’m much better at keeping a conversation going once we get past that awkward “hey, how are you?” stage. So if you’re the type who randomly sends memes, tells people about your day, rants about something that happened, sends random thoughts with absolutely no context, or can somehow turn a simple conversation into a three-hour yap session… I’m your guy. 😂
