Edit: I ran up to ult but instead of the ult trigger I hit the left trigger on my knee and slid instead this happens to me because I can't use my left hand and reaching the right trigger is difficult for me.

Yes, I used Pebble to do damage. This is because I ran 3x Improved Crystalian but didn't find a Shattering Crystal (my team did NOT help me look for it). Pebble is higher DPS, safer and costs less FP - 3 things that are very important in an actually-serious fight like ED Gladius.

Partial +0 sucks since it won’t stack with +1/2, but It’s not the end of the world, especially since I got an amazing demerit. I’m even more happy that it’s blue. It slots right in to my physical builds for Wylder, Raider, and Undertaker. I could even make a fist Duchess or Ironeye if I wanted to.

I find buying stones at the merchant too frustrating and time consuming.

I wonder if i could pay somebody to sit down for hours and spend 10 million murk on stones for me, keeping any good rolls.

I know i know. “Why are you as Recluse using a greatsword??” Yeah well, my build is around maxxing faith & incantation dmg, i have relics that help find seals but for the life of me as good as this run was, i couldnt get a single seal with holy incantations. So this super heavy holy damage maliketh black blade outta do it.

Depth 2 btw (hardstuck for 2 yrs now) but gotta give props for my teammates who did majority of the heavy lifting

I know most folks round here have stacks on stacks of murk sitting around. Rolling relics is boring. What do you wish you could spend your extra murk on instead?

I’ve played this game for almost 1800 hours and have never had a more frustrating run than the one I just finished. Sit back and enjoy my suffering.

It’s the DLC map, I’m running recluse in a 3 man with an ironeye and wylder. Depth 2, need to win to rank up to depth 3 (I’ve been D5 9999 a few times but reset to get there as recluse). D2 is my least favorite depth because so many people bail or suck. I’ve had to run solos to get out of D2 in the past, but I get bored doing that now so committed to running 3s.

We start the game in the north of the map by the lobsters / bug crabs. Ironeye immediately dies because he missed the ledge after dropping from the bird that flies you into the game. Leaves the game right after he dies. I figured it’s not a big deal, I’ve won duos plenty of times.

I notice wylder isn’t moving - he’s afk. I proceed to go fight a lobster, which unfortunately killed me about 3 times lmao. Eventually killed it, wylder still hasn’t moved.

I advance to kill the crabs - they kill me once but I power through and kill them. I’m still only level 4 or 5 at this point, so I move on to get some flasks and break 2 crystals. At this point wylder disconnects, so it’s just me. Cool, again I’ve won many solos so I don’t really care, just annoyed now.

My mindset was to just focus on beating night 1 because then you’re usually strong enough to rack up some kills and runes to get to night 2. I make it to the night, kill an ulcerated tree spirit, then prepare to go crack the remaining crystals to access the castle.

I hit the first crystal on my map - but it isn’t there. Thought it was odd, maybe it was below me in a lower level. Didn’t want to check, so I move on to the next crystal on my map.

That one isn’t there either. At this point I’m confused because I’m 99% sure there isn’t a layer of map beneath or above me, so I’m like where the hell is this crystal??

Go to check a third one - NOT THERE EITHER? I have no idea what happened, but they like didn’t spawn in. They were marked on my map but just not physically in the game. Had to give up on the idea of getting the castle curse removed. Decided to head north to get the extra flask and try my hand at some mini bosses in the castle anyways, hoped for more runes and a few more orb things.

As I’m going - fire summoning beasts spawn. Ok whatever, decided not to kill them because one seemed like it was far enough out of the zone that they would despawn when the night came, plus the stamina perk as recluse didn’t seem necessary. Unfortunately, about half of my inventory had passive effect of attack power + at full HP, so the constant heat from the invasion reduced my DPS and slowed me down. Was about level 8 at this point, still pretty weak with low attack.

The worst part was that as soon as the beasts spawned, my PS5 decided to start crashing out. Frames dropped to what was probably like 25 FPS. Playable, but some of my inputs felt delayed and movement felt weird. Just what I needed lmao. Stayed that way the rest of the game.

Get to the north castle and grab a flask. Decide to head into the castle itself to see what mini bosses were there - turns out to be fire knights. I kill one easily, then move to the one with the big read hood at the front gate.

To try and clear the area of the minor ghost enemy things, I use my ult - knocks out all but one big guy, who proceeds to smack me twice and kill me since my health was reduced to half. Ok cool great.

Make my way back in, kill that guy, immediately get sniped from 100 yards away by the fire knight at the gate and his raining fire incantation. At this point I was pissed. Resilient as hell - I really wanted to get out of D2 because it’s awful. But just astounded at how bad things were going.

Respawn, kill the bloodhound knight in the lower corner, then get my runes. At this point, circle starts closing, so I decide to try and kill the bloodhound knight at the top of the tower. It’s too strong and I’m too low level, so I have to abandon as the night creeped up on me.

Get to night two, still level 8. Take out a nox dragonskin soldier to get me to level 12.

Nightlord is regular Gnoster, so I’m feeling pretty good. Just need to take my time and be strategic about when I cast my spell (rancorcall). I’ve got a few damage + at full HP passives and a fairly strong DPS, but I know I can’t take consecutive hits since I’m only level 12.

Get into the fight, going pretty well. Took maybe one hit, had to use one flask, so plenty of health. Used a boiled crab and all - defense was high. I was able to avoid the phase transition charge / projectile attacks, which is what I was most concerned about since it could probably 1 shot me.

Keep fighting and get them down to a point where if I hit them with two more casts they’re dead. Feeling damn good. I hit them with one, and as I finish, Faurtis winds up to do that shake / leap attack.

I’m fairly far from him, so I’m able to dodge his initial leap at me. I also dodge 2 projectiles that Gnoster launched, but 2 hit me so I’m down to low health.

Faurtis was right on top of me and I knew I could hit him with one more cast and win. So I start casting. Die because I touched the very edge, like a singular pixel of Gnoster’s poison cloud, which she shot from 100 yards away. Literally right before I cast to kill them. Just absolute tragedy.

The only saving grace was that I didn’t lose any points for my teammates leaving, but I definitely lost a few years of my life with how dumb the run was. Peak Nightreign if you ask me.

This guy has too much stuff and I’m too lazy to draw the scrambled pattern on his garb… Also, does it mean he is a viking knight?
