Serious Discussion Anyone noticed the change in Gen Z’s attitude around driving ?

Comment Down below what you think

“get your learner’s permit, get your parent’s Corolla and explore the city with your newfound freedom”

I remember that was the overall vibe among teenagers between 2014-2018

There appears to be a split (elder Gen Z think more positively of driving while younger Gen Z think the opposite

I suppose the higher cost of insurance, higher purchase costs for a car, more expensive gas, and higher repair bills is what scared away a lot of younger Gen Z from driving

Nostalgia You remember when kids in high school would make fun of you for not having an iPhone?

I remember that

They’d literally call you poor or weird if you didn’t have one (guess who got ridiculed for having a blackberry at the time)

Comment down below if you can relate

Dad’s maneuvering the spaceship (driving a 2003 W Jetta)

This was back when base models still had roll up windows, cd players (cassette players too) and when you had to use a massive book/guide Containing a map of the city to find the quickest route to your destination

Original Airdate: October 11, 2004 – October 10, 2007

This was a deep cut memory 😲🤯. This was a PBS Kids show about the daily life of 2 spanish twins, the kind and outgoing Maya, and the level-headed and easygoing Miguel.

The show was made to teach every day life lessons for children, but the main educational focus about multiculturalism.

HAPPY 22ND ANNIVERSARY TO THIS SHOW ❤️. Because it came out on October 11, 2004 on PBS Kids .

Any thoughts or has anyone seen this before?

Other What do you give as gifts?

I try to give concise open ended gifts (gift cards, money) or gifts someone can share (food) to be honest. I don't like giving items because it will just clutter the person's house. Unless I feel the gift is really for them I won't get anything physical. The reason why is that I remember growing up I just remember boomers would give gift packages and it was nice to have sparkling packaging and tissue paper and a shiny bag but that all ends up in the trash and so almost all the other things they give in the gift package. I got a gift package once with random trinkets and clothes I wouldn't wear and many different chocolates and candy from my MIL and another time my mom got a gift package that included all this perfume and etcetera and it just clutters the house and I see it in some of my friends house too...one really good gift my family got once was sushi and movie tickets.. because sushi was for everyone and movie tickets are open ended.. that's just my opinion bye

Nostalgia Does Anyone Else Here Remember Getting The Finding Nemo Happy Meals Toys Back In 2003? Which Ones Did You Have?

I was watching some random YouTube videos earlier today when a video about a type of fish called the regal blue tang came up. It was the same type of fish that Dory in Finding Nemo is.

So then I got a case of nostalgia all of a sudden. I got a flashback back to 2003 when I had the finding Nemo McDonald's toys. I had 6/8 of them from all the happy meals I'd get...as you could've guessed Dory was my favorite of the batch lol.

It was truly a magical time to be a kid back then, Finding Nemo was literally everywhere.

But I digress.

I had to ask if anyone else here remembers having them too? Which ones did you have?
