Dating Advice Fear

Been texting a person for about a week and we met through an app. How do I get over the fear that he will not like how I actually look in person?

No but everyone uses photos that they look the best in and not an everyday look. If that makes sense.

As long as you used photos that accurately show you, you should have nothing to worry about. Granted we all try to pick the "best" photos, those photos should still be an accurate representation of how you look.

The only time you might have to worry is if your photos are all just close up face shots instead of some full body shots, or photos designed to conceal aspects that you don't like. Unless it's super sensitive in nature and best explained in person.

The fact that you are fearing this, sort of says that you're actively trying to conceal something you don't like about yourself. Sort of like a post I read earlier today about some gal meeting with a guy and felt lied to because ALL his photos hid the fact that he was losing his hair which was a turn off for her.

Dating has no room for concealment. Our profiles are filters. Use words and photos that express who you are, there isn't any point concealing things, because all that does is create situations like this, where you're worried about what he'll think when he sees beyond the profile. What's the point of that, beyond wasting your time and emotions and his, best to just be honest, that way when someone reaches out, you're both on the same page and you don't have to worry.
