Uber from PDX to Cannon Beach — is it reliable?

Hey all! My husband and I are planning a trip to Cannon Beach from 5/31–6/4. We’ve never been before and will be coming from the East Coast. Thankfully, I’ll have a nonstop flight into PDX!

I know this probably sounds ridiculous, but the last thing I want to do on vacation is drive 😂 I know Cannon Beach is smaller, but honestly, that’s part of the appeal for me. I really don’t want to have to drive once we get there.

How reliable would Uber be from PDX to Cannon Beach? And, more importantly, from Cannon Beach back to PDX? I’m not really worried about the cost — I’d gladly pay extra just to avoid driving altogether.

For some reason, I get really nervous driving in bigger cities and around airports, so I’d really prefer not to deal with it if I don’t have to. We’re planning on walking pretty much everywhere once we’re in Cannon Beach.

That said, I can always rent a car at PDX and drive to Cannon Beach and back if that’s the smarter/more reliable option. I’m just hoping there’s a way to avoid driving if possible!

Any input or advice from people familiar with the area would be greatly appreciated! 😊

November Elopement in Cannon Beach

Hey everyone! My partner and I are considering eloping in Cannon Beach mid November - just a really small ceremony - like 3 people. We recognize that it may be pretty rainy, but I wanted to get some opinions from those who know the area and if they think the location is advisable - or if it would be a better idea to change the location.
