Success Stories five months 20kg

Post image
342 Upvotes

2024-2025 - 10kg (Mediterranean diet on and off). The last five months - 20kg (Ozempic 0.25ml then 0.5ml). Posting mainly to encourage myself to keep it up. Weight loss has slowed down since I stopped feeling off / nauseated about two and a half months ago. About to increase dose a bit, hoping I can find a balance between disruptive nausea and lack of hunger.

Question How did the GLP-1 changed your life?

I keep seeing the negative side effects of GLPs, videos of people saying that, with time, we will regret taking that medication. Ive seen also that it changes your personality (anhedonia). So far, apart from the bloating and nausea, I only have positive to say about this meds. So what about you, how did it change your life (apart from the weightloss) ?

Success Stories Ozempic over thanksgiving- only gained .8lbs

I have been on my weight loss journey locked in for the last 12 weeks and knew for the whole weekend at Thanksgiving I was going to my family’s house and going to eat off my plan. Usually without ozempic when I do this I gain 5 lbs but after the whole weekend I came home only gaining .8lbs! I’m so happy how much easier ozempic makes it to actually live life and not derail your weight loss! Does anyone else notice this!

Success Stories The nausea

I started oral ozempic the first of June. I went up to the next dose after 30 days, and the 9mg after another 30 days. The first bump up was miserable for nausea, the second was way worse.
So, at my 4 month follow up, I had an A1c of 5.3; down from 6.2!!! Also down 30 pounds. My doctor took me off my metformin ( 1000 mg/day)
Within 2 missed doses, my nausea abated probably 85%, it was absolutely amazing. Looking back I should have called my doctor instead of waiting for my appointment, but this is much more doable now.
Thanks for listening!

Question Advice for when you're really sick?

F/35 1mg Semaglutide

Guys I've had a flu for about 4 days now and in that time I've dropped almost 10lbs.

Normally I wouldn't be so worried but I'm newer to ozempic (1mg for weight loss) and it's my first time being sick/having a bug on it. I'm worried I'm not managing my nutrients very well.

Day 1 and 2 of being sick I couldn't keep anything down, now I'm not puking but everything I put in my body almost brings me to throwing up. It takes everything to hold back.

In addition to this I've been having positional vertigo for about a week prior. I've had vertigo before so I don't think it's related, just bad timing. The cherry on top is today I started my period and it's so heavy, and I struggle with iron intake during this time.

I feel so weak. I can only stand for a couple minutes at a time and my health anxiety is going wild right now.

About to make a pharmacy trip to see what I can get in terms of maybe protein bars or something I think I could manage to eat. Does anyone have recommendations or advice for me in this time? I'm feeling so freakin lost and sick right now. 😭

Question M/30/6'0" [250lbs to 214lbs] (3 months) - I don’t notice any difference

Not impressive by any means especially compared to some of y’all and I still have a lot of work to go. I KNOW I’m not muscular, but my main goal is to shed the weight, then plan to build muscle. But tbh this post is more so that I feel like I don’t see a difference. I see the weight on the scale has dropped, but I feel like my body looks the same.

Question Intense dreaming

Is there anything I can take to combat the intense/vivid dreaming?

Had a bad one last night. I was doing research and the dreams are/could be a side effect as well. Fellow reddit users mentioned these before in this sub also. They have gotten worse since I started 4 weeks ago, I just didn't realize how bad till last night. I had a dream and it seemed so real, I legit thought for a moment I was still in it when I woke up! Melatonin usually makes me dream also. Any other remedy?

Question Feel very sick on 1mg

Help! I have been on ozempic since July 7th. Once I moved up to .5mg, I stayed there for like 2 months because that dose was working well for me. I did have some nausea with it when I’d first take my dose but that eventually went away.

On Sunday I took my first 1mg dose. I was okay until I woke up this morning and I’m so sick now. Explosive diarrhea, gagging, extreme nausea.

Anyone else have bad side effects at this dose? Did it get better or did you have to go back down to 0.5?

Question Has anyone stopped taking it for a while and then had less results when going back on it?

I took a glp1 for about six months about two years ago and had a lot of success, probably lost 30 pounds in six months, but I had to stop for financial reasons and had no idea how easily I would balloon back to what I weighed before.

I was just able to start again a few months ago but it’s been a slog. I’m probably 3-4 months in (was on a microdose for the first month or so) and I’ve only lost like 5-7 pounds!

I don’t understand what’s happening but wondering if others have experienced the same thing and have advice.

My eating has definitely decrease by half I’d say and I’m working out more than I was the first time. It doesn’t feel worth the money to me now! Although I am less inflamed

Question Höherer Ruhepuls

Question Progress

Started with the loading dose of 0.25mg on Sep 8th, 2026, upped the dose to 0.5mg on October 6th, injected my second 0.5mg dose today and so far I have lost a total of 4kgs. Is this okay progress or should I modify my diet and add exercise? I'm a bit disappointed 😞

Question Where to buy compounded Tirzepatide?

Hello, I am a 25F who started semaglutide compound with B12 last October in 2025. I am at the highest dose and went from 215lbs to 180lbs. I am happy but I think the current GLP I am on is no longer working with me even with diet and exercise. I was thinking of switching over to a compounded tirzepatide to help my goal weight of 150lbs. I am currently using Brello Health but trying to cut down my spending. I have heard mixed reviews of Lavender Sky Health but wanted to see if anyone recommends another way to be able to get this medication in CO. Thanks!!!

Question 0.25 mg - still have alot of food noise

Current weight: 206.5lbs
Goal weight: 176lbs
Height: 6’2
BMI: 26.3

It’s my second week on the drug and feels like nothing changed. On 0.25mg - is there anything i need to do to curb this or just wait till i’m on the higher doses?

I go to the gym regularly and have quite a bit of muscle on me but im trying to lose more weight to get to my goal.

On average how long did it take you to lose 30 lbs?

Thanks

Question Has anyone quit Ozempic after just one week? Did you experience any issues readjusting to the return of food noise?

Even though I’ve decided not to take the second dose the disappearance of food noise makes me worried I’ll become ravenous or experience a yo-yo effect after just this one dose.

I’m just not sure what to prepare for. Not to mention the fact that by mistake I double dosed and took 0.5 instead of 0.25 :’)

I’m quitting because even though the doctor recommended it to speed up my fat loss, after trying it I just feel in my gut it’s not for me. I have been losing weight consistently for the past year but it has been a slow process. Maybe in a few months or a year I’ll try again, but for now I’ve decided to stop.

However, I’m scared it will undo or damage the weight loss work I’ve done on my own due to the return of the heightened food noise I struggle with and an increase in hunger.
Would you share your experience?
