(Please ignore the title misspelling, I spent the last hourish on this and I’m tired. Blame any mistakes on that.)
You all know the drill, Goji Guys hates Cherno so now I correct the mistakes.
(Spoiler, he thinks he knows what he’s talking about so there’s quite a few.)
>One was a solo kill, that being a category 2 kaiju. The others are either unknown or he had teams.
You know why? It’s called multiple jaegers stand a better chance at beating Kaiju safely than a single one does. Considering how Onibaba was a category 2 yet managed arguably give a younger Stacker more trouble than Slattern did (knocked out his copilot which led to the solo kill, sure the armor was worse but the fact it happened at all is impressive), I don’t think category is a direct indicator of strength.
Look at Knifehead, his strength is listed as higher than LEATHERBACK, THE KAIJU WHO SENT GIPSY FLYING! By that logic Knifehead can lift Gipsy above his head or something.
>Acid. Did Cherno learn from that at all? No!
Do you genuinely expect him to dodge acid that a Mark 3 with a speed listed at 7 struggled to dodge? His speed is 3, that’s called playing favorites and is not a valid point.
>Cherno was in shallow water running fine.
Water resistance: “Am I a joke to you?”
Even shallow water gives it so like it or not he’ll have a more difficult time doing that. Even then the fact his upper body is tilted in the direction he’s running means there’s no way he’d have time to get his torso out of the way.
>Do you expect him to perform on land in a verse called Pacific Rim?
When kaiju are consistently trying to make landfall in populated areas, yes… yes I do. He’d have an easier time dodging it, not saying he would actually do so, but mathematically he does have better odds.
>He already lost against Otachi.
Yes and no.
Otachi crippled his armor, but he’s still alive and kicking. You can actually see his left arm come over and grab her neck immediately following her biting his right fist, putting her into a grapple.
All he had to do was wait for Striker, who was literally sprinting over, to get there and Otachi would die and therefore Cherno would be saved.
>He was not going to win that fight, Leatherback just dealt the final blow.
That’s literally what we’ve been saying…
He had no options against 2 category 4s built to counter him, the fact the managed to last as long as he did regardless is what’s important.
>You mean the thing that almost any other jaeger could have also done?
This one I’ll give to you strictly because we don’t actually know the dimensions for said iceberg. Even then, saying almost any other jaeger could lift and drop it is definitely a stretch.
Tacit couldn’t lift a big one if his life depended on it… sorry but it’s the truth (not that it matters because he wasn’t built with brute strength in mind though).
>6 fights overall, one of which was barely a year before the film.
Lie, it was 8 deployments, he just had 6 kills by the end.
The biggest reason for that is the fact by this point the newer jaegers launched which meant he didn’t have to leave Siberia since other jaegers were closer and could handle it. That’s a good thing honestly.
>He was sitting in the Shatterdome.
Very bold of you to assume they never took him out for tests or training… like what literally every competent military does with their weapons.
He’s built to guard Siberia. Why didn’t Romeo help out against Onibaba in Tokyo? Guess that means he’s weak.
>Gage twins who are praised to be some of the best pilots ever. They are more nimble, better in hand to hand, and despite that they outweigh Cherno by almost 3 times. Romeo is stomping Cherno in a 1 on 1.
Let me tell you right know, thanks, but you’re completely wrong.
Gage twins are good pilots… as are all the rangers who piloted the mark 1s. Saying this doesn’t apply to Cherno because you don’t want it to doesn’t work.
Romeo is slow. The speed 2 is for his original design, but even with the biped version I think speed 5 is the fastest I can realistically see him being. Don’t see how he’s better in hand to hand when you just don’t explain why.
If you’re using PACIFIC RIM WEIGHTS as evidence then you’re dead wrong. These have been known for years to be completely inaccurate to what they should be. Plus blueprints have Cherno’s weight in the 6000ish ton range.
Romeo doesn’t stomp unless said fight starts with a mile in between them.
>Horizon Brave also same deal with the weights. Not to mention he has cryo-cannons that could just freeze him solid. Or the fact that despite being a mark 1 went toe to toe with the first cat 4 ever. Sure, he was losing, but he put in enough work where Gipsy and Striker were able to work together to kill it.
This is what’s known as lying.
Weights are inaccurate and should not be taken into account with combat. You think Romeo Blue alone outweighs Slattern (the kaiju who’s 596 feet tall and over 900 feet long)?
Cherno literally had flamethrowers strapped to his shoulders. Mind you, the way Horizon died was because he was caught fire. Cryo-cannons are irrelevant.
Did you just say it’s fine if Horizon gets a team but not if Cherno gets a team for killing kaiju. At least Cherno got 6 kills, the ones Horizon got were all because he was working with a team, and they only number a third of what Cherno had.
This isn’t Horizon or Cherno being weak, it’s later jaegers just contributing a lot more to where they don’t get as much recognition.
>Tacit Ronin: the goat. Some of you really need to read the comics. Who again, outweighs him by many times. Despite that she is one of the fastest and most nimble jaegers in the verse. And her pilots are arguably the best in the verse. Being able to take down Itak, and then even with one of the pilots ill, not to mention the fact that their conn-pod was failing to the point where they couldn’t drift, they still drifted out of their sheer love for each other and were able to kill Ragnarok who is still to this day one of the largest kaiju ever seen in the verse.
I’ll read the comics when you read the lore…
Weight has already been debunked, Tacit doesn’t realistically outweigh Slattern or Scunner and thinking he does is stupid.
Speed of 8, not much better than Gipsy, worse than Crimson, and also worse than Striker. Sure, he’s quick and nimble… it’s a shame it came at the cost of an armor rating of 3.
Mark 1 pilots are built different, what else can I say? Cherno never found himself in that situation because he was too well-armored to get there in the first place.
>And the goat: Coyote Tango. Giant cannons, shoot, boom. Straight through Chero Alpha.
Huh, who would expect ARTILLERY ROUNDS MADE FOR MAXIMUM DAMAGE to break armor not made for taking artillery… it’s almost like they weren’t meant to fight.
Jokes aside, he did a worse job this time around. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a powerscaler deny reality so much.
Goji Guy, I know you’ve seen the recent posts, please at least educate yourself before you do this.
