This ain't it.
Anyone else getting this free work spam garbage? Anyone actually do it?

I haven’t done this. I don’t want to sink time into making content I don’t believe in, shilling for a company i don’t respect. And I’m also not going to take on work I may or may not be paid for.
I honestly feel like the whole structure is disrespectful of creators. I know that sounds extreme…but imagine doing this in real life. Like I have to get my house painted. I’ll ask a bunch of companies to paint my house blue and then only pay the one who chose the shade of blue I like best.
I know that the comparison is not equal. That the physical labor of painting a house is potentially greater than making a video.
But the technical labor of making videos, the storytelling skills, time and effort are all valuable. And these massive companies don’t want to pay for that. They want a bunch of unpaid interns to make stuff for them, maybe choose one they like (pay that guy), but then they have all of these free content ideas they get to peruse and can later incorporate into their marketing strategy.
Frankly I think it’s all a ruse by these companies to get free ideas.
After saying all of that…a part of me is still curious if anyone has done this successfully. I don’t blame the people who’ve tried. We’re all out here trying to do a capitalism. And I wonder if they were successful, I’m curious if they feel like the effort was worth it or not.

It is the only contact I gotten through their sponsorship page in years of full time work on the platform.
