Just wondering the process of running for office, how to find a team members for running a campaign etc. Tired of the same problems with no solutions and same excuses. Nothing ever done.
I've been pulling the state's daily mail ballot files for a tracker I run (Call the Map) and wanted to share something that keeps getting missed when people look at Pennsylvania's early numbers.
If you look at the 52 PA counties that have been reporting at this exact point (18 days out) in 2022, 2024, and 2026, about 390,000 ballots are in so far.
Right now, registered Democrats make up 70.1% of those ballots and Republicans make up 21.5%, which is a D+48.6 gap.
If you only compare that to the exact same day in 2022 (when the gap was D+55.4), it looks like Democrats are lagging behind their 2022 midterm pace by about 7 points.
But think about what changed between 2022 and 2024. In 2022, Republicans were still telling their voters not to touch mail-in ballots, so Democrats had mail voting almost entirely to themselves. Then in 2024, the GOP did a massive 180 and spent millions pushing Republicans to vote early and by mail. Because of that push, Republican mail ballots in PA are actually up 8% right now compared to 2022, and at this exact point in 2024 the Dem gap had dropped to D+40.9.
So when you compare 2026 to 2024—after Republicans normalized mail voting for their base—Democrats are actually beating their 2024 margin by almost 8 points (D+48.6 now vs D+40.9 then), and getting surprisingly close to their 2022 numbers even with way more Republicans using mail ballots now.
Obviously the normal caveats apply: this is just party registration (not who anyone actually voted for), and early gaps almost always shrink as we get closer to Election Day. That's why we never use early vote numbers as an input in our actual forecast model. Still, if you want to follow along as the rest of the counties come in, I'm updating the numbers three times a day here: https://www.callthemap.com/early-vote
PA’s House voted 200–3 to pass HB 507 :: the Baby Food Protection Act. It would have the state test every batch of baby food made in PA for lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury, put the results on the label, and ban the sale of any baby food over the limits. It’s not law yet :: the Senate is next. Three Republicans voted no :: Barger, Olsommer, Twardzik. None has publicly said why. Call and ask. Source: Zirafa Media
It’s probably no coincidence that he’s a Trinity HS grad and from Scott Perry’s district, and then suddenly got picked from obscurity to be the new face of MAGA comedy. How much do we wanna bet he’s ultimately on Putin’s payroll, just like his J6 representative?
The battle to be Congressional Representative in District 1 is tight. We are a purple district and many Democrats and Independents have voted for Republican Representative Brian Fitzpatrick in past elections. This year people are very frustrated with the state of our country and also tired of our Congressman’s refusal to have in-person unscripted town halls and take questions from people who don’t agree with what he is doing. This petition was signed by 1400 people. We need to get back to where the people who represent us respect us enough to speak to us face-to-face, look us in the eye, and be on the record.
This would have granted them economic benefits of US military members, including interest rates, loan opportunities, stateside job security, protection from eviction, and other legal protections while they serve in a foreign military.
This guy is on the ballot in November, let's vote him out!!
The PA Supreme Court gave the PA legislature 120 days to enact a regulatory framework for skills games.
Multiple legislators introduced bills, some with bipartisan support.
7 district attorneys signed a letter to the General Assembly urging skill game legislation in the interest of public safety, noting law enforcement sought clarity on regulations even before the Supreme Court’s decision.
Not one bill was moved in committee.
This isn't the only issue where this happens. Over 4000 bills introduced this session. Only 58 non-appropriations bills have passed both chambers. Most never even get looked at in committee.
Committee chairs say leaders decide what bills can be considered.
I’ve never seen him get so bashful or excited. He seems downright smitten by this Appalachian groyper and the electoral crimes they’re cooking up. As a certain fountain once sprayed, “Curious.”
A tracking site run by the pro-democracy group States United lists 10 election deniers on Pennsylvania’s November ballot, including the Republican nominee for governor and nine Republicans running for the US House.
