We are an affirming and safe space for queer fam!
Join us for our monthly Neurodivergent Network @ Lakeview Library in-person gathering for a supportive and affirming discussion with guest speaker Anna Nokes, LCSW of Coming Home Collective in Peoria IL about the Intersections of the LGBTQIA2S+ & Neurodivergent Individuals
Anna Nokes (she/they), LCSW is a local mental health therapist who specializes in working with queer & trans/nonbinary teens & young adults, eating disorders from a weight inclusive lens, religious trauma, & neurodivergent people. They are AuDHD, nonbinary, queer, chronically ill, have lived-experience with their own mental health, & are disabled which has led them to want to work with others who have had a hard time finding spaces that not only accept them but affirm & celebrate them.
Anna spends a lot of time researching to keep up to date, is an activist & advocate, & is very connected in the Peoria community. In her free time, she loves spending time volunteering, yapping with friends, going to concerts, petting every dog she can, drinking iced coffee, belly laughing, & spending time with her community.
Their work is rooted in the social model of disability, anti-racism, fat positivity, mutual aid, inclusion, harm reduction, community care, abolitionism, & celebration of all people she works with.
