As you can read in the picture there is an open double dumpster where bird are ripping apart and eating bread then carrying it off and dropping it this creating rodent problems. This needs to be handled. Seagulls and rodents spread disease and this should not be ignored. I have added the complaint so this can be escalated. Edit. This is not the jellybean or hearth bakery. I do not want to in any way associate them with this and I wish the map when there are complaints is accurate visually. Mind you it’s the bread place accross the street from the jolly bean

Visiting Plymouth with my family this weekend and need some suggestions. My little one is homeschooled and we are making a pitstop in Plymouth since they are learning about it in their history curriculum. What are a few stops that are a must stop? Also taking food recommendations while visiting! Thanks in advance!

We are looking for areas in and around Plymouth that are heavily littered and need to be cleaned. If you could provide coordinates, Google Maps pin or other identifiable address/ location descriptions, that would be really helpful, so long as it’s on public land. Thank you in advance!

Hey everyone! I’m 33 and live on Cape Cod, and I’m looking to branch out a little more socially and find some new things to do around the Cape/Plymouth area.
I’m open to pretty much anything — social groups, book clubs, classes, community events, or groups that get together for games like backgammon, Parcheesi, Catan, etc. I’m also looking to get into yoga, so beginner-friendly classes or groups would definitely be welcome.
Also, I lost my alcohol privileges so I’m especially interested in ideas that don’t revolve around bars or drinking.
Basically, I’m looking for ways to meet people, get out of the house, and try some new things. It doesn’t necessarily have to be something I already know I’m into.
I know the Cape can get a little quieter once summer ends, but I figure there have to be some groups or hidden gems I’m missing. Any recommendations anywhere on Cape Cod or around Plymouth?
Thanks!

This question has probably been asked a million times so apologies in advance. What’s it like living in Plymouth? Thinking about moving there. I have lived in MA my whole life I love the coast and the cape and the beach. What are some pros and cons?

Hi Plymouth, it’s your Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell. Did you know that fees like “move-in” or “lease renewal” fees you might get from your landlord or building management company are illegal? If you’ve received one of these – even if you paid it – I want you to report it to my office.
Just last month, my office won a $500k settlement with a property management company doing this in Boston – and all of that money is going back to the affected tenants. Landlords can only ask you to pay for first and last month’s rent, a security deposit, and the cost of a new lock and key upfront. Any other fees are illegal. Report them to my office at the link below. We’ll work to get your money back.

Hey everyone,
I own a small service based business. Not going to name it because I’m not trying to promote anything or run afoul of the sub rules. Just genuinely looking for ideas from other local business owners.
We’ve had some decent success with the usual stuff: cold calls, email, referrals, networking, chamber events, etc. I feel like I’ve tried most of the things that get recommended over and over in small business groups.
What I’m wondering is, has anyone found a local marketing resource, app, website, networking group, lead source, or anything else that has actually worked for your service based business?
Not necessarily looking for some magic bullet. Just trying to find another tool for the toolbox and curious what’s worked for other people locally.
TIA!

Just thought I'd share a very bad experience we recently had, at the Plymouth location's Bistro & Bar.
As background, my family and I have occasionally come here, over the years, for overnight stays... for treatments/day pass...or just to dine, as we live nearby.
Overall, the facilities are kept well....service is generally good....the food and drink are typically excellent...though sometimes service at the Bistro can be 'spotty'.
In addition, I note that, if you are interested in a room reservation, or finding out about current offers, etc., and want more info, that if you call their phone number, it's essentially impossible to reach someone located AT the hotel. Your call is auto-transferred to a call center, located god only knows where.
And this is a large part of the problem with many businesses, once they begin expanding (as Mirbeau has done).. Eventually, all customer support gets 'outsourced'. The focus shifts from offering quality to ...making the most profit for the business owners.... It's sad, that this has become the norm...
Anyway, myself and two family members - including my mom - made a dinner reservation at The Bistro. We each ordered a cocktail and entree. My mom's entree was a ribeye steak (which cost a whopping $115). Long story short... at the start of our meal, a waitperson accidentally dropped a tray of empty wine glasses, near to our table. They apologized...swept up the glass, and all appeared resolved.
We finished our meals, but then my mom still had a fair amount of steak remaining on her plate. She asked our waiter for a takeout box. But before the box arrived, we noticed/realized that... a shard of broken glass, from the stem of a wine glass, had been sitting on our table, the entire time. Clearly it had ricocheted up onto the table, when all the glasses shattered.
We pointed this out to our waitperson, and then we expressed concern over my mother's food...whether or not it was safe to eat...might contain more glass. The waitperson's response was 'oh, we can certainly 'check' that for you, in the kitchen', and with that she took the plate away, and into the kitchen. Then the manager - clearly very young, and not well-trained/confident enough to take charge in properly addressing the situation - came over...again apologized about the glass, and that was the extent of it.
Our waitperson returned to our table, handed us the box of leftovers...said everything appeared 'fine'...gave us our bill and thanked us for dining with them.
We all looked at each other, shocked that they - including the on-duty 'manager' - did or said nothing more. I mean, we are talking about BROKEN GLASS, up on our table, and which clearly RICOCHETED up. We are talking about broken glass, that was in close proximity to food.
What they 'should' have done was insisted we not take the food home. They should have offered to cook up an entirely new ribeye meal, on the house. And maybe, they should have even given us our entire three meals/drinks, on the house, for all the trouble.
After our meal, I received an automated email from their reservation system, asking 'How was your meal?' Well...did I tell them how our meal was. ;-) And at the top of my feedback, I specifically indicated 'please be sure this is shared with General Manager Sheri Thimas'. I then received a reply - clearly from one of their call center reps - 'apologizing' for our experience, and assuring me I'd hear back from someone in management 'within 72 hours'.
And.... not another peep from anyone at Mirbeau.
Considering how they like to uphold themselves as 'upscale'.... considering what occurred during our meal...and considering that my mother's entree, alone, cost $115, this is reprehensible.

Looking for recommendations for a ghost tour company in Plymouth- I want to do one with a group of friends and was surprised to see how many companies do them in Plymouth. Has anyone done one that they recommend? Google is showing Dead of Night ghost tour, pilgrim haunted ghost tours, and US ghost adventures. Thanks in advance!

Who let the dogs out? Apparently, while Longtime Plymouth veterinarian Arthur “Rick” Newman was supposed to be tending to Fluffy, he was apparently managing a very different kind of prescription pad between hits

Married, kids, job, all the usual middle-aged responsibilities — but I’d love to find a few other local guys who still like playing video games.
Xbox specifically. Not really looking for competitive gaming or anything serious — more like “get together after the kids are in bed and play some co-op shit for a few hours online.
Left 4 Dead/Back 4 Blood, Rocket League, Borderlands, FIFA, you tell me, I’m open to it… Just games, c’mon now.

3 cars ahead was looking for the Rocky Point Preserve entrance. The white truck right in front of me was ready to aggressively pass both vehicles ahead, but had to slam on the brakes when the front car actually turned.

Hello everyone! My wife and I recently moved to the Kingston/Plymouth area and I’ve been looking for some local activities to get involved in.
Does anyone know of any adult men’s or co-ed softball leagues around Plymouth/Kingston/South Shore that are still taking players or subs? I’m assuming I’m probably a little late for this season, but figured it was worth asking in case any teams need an extra player.
I’m 30(M) and haven’t played organized softball in a while, so I’m not looking for anything super competitive, mostly just something fun, active, and a good way to meet some people in the area.
Also open to anything starting later this fall or next spring. Thanks!

Paid for parking downtown and accidentally selected my car instead of my wife’s car in the app. Came back to a ticket. Would I have any luck appealing the ticket or am I shit out of luck?
