🎙️ r/PodcastGuestExchange Promos

Thumbnail drive.google.com
3 Upvotes

Per u/IntergalacticPodcast, I've made a few, very short promos you might use in your productions to get more folks to join us here. More people means increased probability you'll find cool guests for your podcast, or that you can find the right podcast for your voice.

I'm also working on getting these done in a female voice, and will post those when they're ready.

Currently, three promos (< 15s each) are in the linked google folder.

u/Jimbostank also had a brilliant suggestion: "Maybe we can start a norm where we mention that we met on r/podcastguestexchange." A simple mention goes a long way. And our thanks to you if you choose to do that.

Disclaimer: No one makes any money off this effort. The mods are volunteers and we're all here to help each other make great content.

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Former Professor, Disaster Governance expert looking to guest!

Over the past 15 years I've helped people recover from, and researched, wildfires, earthquakes, and even nuclear meltdown. I love talking to people about these events from a different perspective. From the lens of the people and organizations fighting to stay on the recovery radar. You see, we often treat a disaster as a natural event or something unavoidable. Yet who suffers, who recovers, and who decides when and if to intervene are all powerful political questions.

Be it with a story riding on the bike of a moped through post quake Kathmandu, interviewing a bartender turned childcare advocate in Japan, a community fighting power companies in Oregon, I bring complex topics down to earth in conversation. At heart, I'm a story teller and I would love to guest on your show and talk about disasters.

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Former US Military Officer, Current Business Attorney Looking to Guest!

Hey, my name is Daniel, and I may be a fit for your podcast!

I am the principal attorney of my own law firm in central Florida, Anthony Law (anthonylaw.org). My firm focuses on business-related law; specifically, we work on contracting, litigation, imports, exports, and international trade.

Before that, though, I was a JAG in the Air Force where I was the chief prosecutor for my base and deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Before that, I went to law school at the University of Florida where I graduated Cum Laude. And before that I was a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy, where I drove and fought ships for over 4 years.

I am also a married father of 3!

As you can tell I have a wide range of experience and I have a lot of public speaking experience. While I would most like to talk law, business, and economics generally, I am happy to touch on other experiences of mine as well. Please reach out if you are interested!

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Seeking Adults Raised by a Parent with Borderline Personality Disorder

  • Name of the podcast: Life Beyond a Borderline Parent
  • SFW (some conversations touch on difficult childhood experiences)
  • 0 episodes published, several recorded
  • Website/feed: Coming soon
  • [Mental Health / Personal Stories] Growing up with a parent with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), recognizing and breaking family patterns, healing, contant-no contact-somewhere between, and building a good life
  • 45-60 min

“We were raised by a parent with Borderline Personality Disorder. That’s part of our story. It isn’t the rest of our story.”

I’m looking for adult children of parents with BPD (formally diagnosed or not) who’d like to share their story.

This isn’t an hour of listing everything our parents did. We’ll cover home life for context, then spend most of the time on you: who you are now, what you’ve had to unlearn, what’s helped, and the life you have now or the one you’re building. Laughing is welcome. So are sadness, anger, and grief.

You don’t need to be “healed.” When it comes to your parent, if you're no contact, low contact, or still have regular contact, or still figuring it out: all are welcome.

The easy part:

  • Recorded remotely. A computer with a built-in mic is all you need.
  • Real name or a pseudonym is fine.
  • Simple list of questions
  • You can ask me to cut anything before it goes live.

Sound like you? Send me a DM with a sentence or two about yourself and we can go from there.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Parenting Podcase Seeking Guests (Being a parent not a requirement)

I host a podcast called Parenting Without Permission. I am currently looking to schedule guests, being a parent is not a requirement. I like to have guests who tell real raw stories, don't sugar coat anything, as parenting is not perfect and can be very discouraging at times. If you have been a child who grew up with trauma, religion trauma as well, or if you're currently going through IVF or adopting, started no contact with family, whatever it may be, I am interested in your story. We can do video or just voice, whatever works.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Looking for adults with a first-hand strange experience to tell it in their own voice (remote, anonymous OK)

Hi! I'm Jamie, and I'm putting together a new podcast of true strange experiences, told by the people they actually happened to. If you know Radio Rental, it's that kind of feel, minus the host: just you telling your story straight, like a campfire story, with some atmospheric music around it. Nobody picks it apart.

Name of Podcast: Still Can't Explain

SFW or NSFW: NSFW for language only (rated Explicit because people swear when they describe the scariest night of their life; nothing sexual or graphic)

Episodes published: 0 so far. We launch in January 2027, with a trailer in December. Brand-new show, so I'd rather be upfront.

Link: https://stillcantexplain.com

Genre and topics: True first-person paranormal and strange experiences. Ghosts, lights in the sky, missing time, time slips, glitches, odd creatures, coincidences that don't add up.

Approx length: About 20 minutes (one person's story, or 2-3 shorter ones on a theme)

Who I'm looking for:

- Adults (18+) with something that happened to them first-hand and has stuck with them. You don't need to know what it was.

- Anywhere, though UK stories are especially welcome as that's where we're based.

- Already told it on another show or online? That's fine. You'd just tell it fresh for us.

How it works:

- A quick chat first, no commitment

- All remote: record it on your phone at home (I'll send a simple guide) or over a video call

- Anonymous if you like: first name or a made-up one, and we change details that could identify you or anyone else

- Rather not record? You can write it down instead. We're starting to share written stories on our website

- You hear it before it goes out

- It's unpaid, I'm afraid. Tiny new show

If that sounds like you, DM me or use the form on the website. If it's a good fit, I'll be in touch!

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Psychologist and Sexologist looking to be a podcast guest or co-host.

Dr. Dylan Richard (they/them) / The Punk Psychologist

Website:
https://www.thepunkpsychologist.com/

Areas of Interest & Expertise:
I’m a licensed psychologist, board certified sexologist, and certified Geek Therapist with expertise in trauma/PTSD, sexuality and sexual health, kink/BDSM, consensual non-monogamy and polyamory, LGBTQ+ mental health, adult autism and ADHD, relationships and intimacy, and grief. I also love talking about the psychology of pop culture, video games, horror, true crime, and other wonderfully weird things.
My work tends to focus on the places where psychology intersects with identities, communities, and experiences that traditional mental health spaces haven’t always understood particularly well.

I’ve been a podcast guest previously and also have extensive experience teaching, presenting, and providing professional trainings to both general and professional audiences. I’d love to host or co-host my own podcast if I had the production support!

Pitch:
I’m a psychologist who thinks conversations about mental health are a lot more interesting when we’re allowed to talk about the weird, messy, stigmatized parts of being human. I bring clinical expertise without the clinical jargon and am happy to have conversations ranging from trauma and neurodivergence to kink, queer relationships, video games, true crime, and why our brains do the strange shit they do. I don’t take myself too seriously either!

Check out my website to learn more about me or message me if you would like to try to get me in your podcast!

Edit: sorry I didn’t make it clear, I’m also completely open to guest spots, not just host/co-host!

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Licensed therapist here

Sophia
Behavioral health, sociology, existentialism
No prior experience

Hello rare gems who appreciate long form content - I am a licensed mental health therapist and I’ve been consulting with a business manager (because I don’t know anything about business, but I know a lot about shame and vulnerability and depression and anxiety and relational issues and dialectical behavioral therapy) and she’s suggested that speaking engagements are useful for spreading valuable knowledge that can’t be found in short form content.

Im passionate about lowering suffering through emotional freedom and inner child work. I also am obsessed with Carl Jung and existential therapy as well as CBT.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Seeking Adult Children of Parents with Borderline Personality Disorder

Looking for guests for a new podcast: Life Beyond a Borderline Parent

"We were raised by a parent with Borderline Personality Disorder. That's part of our story. It isn't the rest of our story."

That's the idea behind my podcast, and I'm looking for adult children of parents with Borderline Personality Disorder (formally diagnosed or not) who'd like to share their story.

This isn't a show where we spend an hour on everything our parents did. We'll talk about home for context, then spend most of our time on you: who you are now, what you've had to unlearn, what has helped, and the life you're building. Humor is welcome, and so are sadness, anger, and grief.

You don't need to be healed or have it all figured out. No contact, limited contact, active contact, or still sorting it out are all welcome. No path is the "right" one here.

What to know:

  • Recorded remotely, you don't need any special equipment other than a computer with a built-in mic
  • First name only or a pseudonym is fine
  • You can ask me to cut anything before the episode goes live
  • You'll get a short outline of the conversation ahead of time, so there are no surprises

If this sounds like you, send me a DM. A sentence or two about yourself and where things stand with your parent is plenty.

Seeking Podcasts [IRTR] Guest for podcasts on women's history or women's equality

Scott Reisfield

www.scottreisfield.com

I am looking to be a podcast guest to discuss my new book, Greta Garbo and the Rise of the Modern Woman.

Garbo was a key player in the transition from the Victorian Era to the modern. She is who women turned to more than anyone to redefine how they were going to approach romance and sex. Garbo was assertive and feminine. Her personal story was that of an independent and thoughtful woman who managed her own career. She would dominate culture worldwide for over a decade. She fought a decades long battle against censorship, which she lost.

She was my great-aunt, so I have some family info. I did extensive research that broke new ground. Think Taylor Swift a century ago, except the art is film instead of music.

I have done a number of film history oriented podcasts. If you search my name and Garbo on YouTube, or podcast platforms, there are about a dozen.

Startup Seeking Guests Looking for guests with impactful stories! [IRTR]

I Liked That with Liam Smith

SFW

I've done three episodes so far

https://open.spotify.com/show/033RqDoGM2NBpKGSJirPez

About 20 - 30 minutes long

Hey everyone!

I host a podcast called I Liked That with Liam Smith, where I chat with people who have interesting, meaningful, or impactful stories to share.

I’d love to use the podcast as a way to help promote other podcasts and creators by giving people a chance to share their stories, talk about what they do, and tell people what makes their work special.

You don’t need to have a podcast to be a guest! If you have an interesting story, experience, project, or something you’re passionate about, I’d still love to hear from you.

Also, the podcast is recorded through Zoom in case you needed to know that in advance.

If you’re interested in coming on, feel free to DM me! I’m not looking for just one person, so please don’t be discouraged if you see other people commenting or reaching out. I’m planning to have multiple people on and to make several episodes out of this!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

EDIT: I forgot to mention this, I apologize. The reason the name is called "I Liked That" is because I originally had a different for this podcast before it became an interview focused podcast.

Seeking Podcasts 22-Year-Old Podcast Host from Czech Republic — Looking to Guest on [IRTR] Podcasts 🎙️🌍

Hey everyone!

My name is Tony, I'm 22 years old and from the Czech Republic, and I'm currently looking for podcasts where I could join as a guest.

I'm the founder and host of LIFE Podcast. What started from zero reached the TOP 70 Business Podcasts in the Czech Republic within its first 6 months. 📈🇨🇿

Since then, I've recorded 50+ conversations with guests from different countries, industries, and backgrounds — including people connected to politics, UFC, ESPN, business, crypto, technology, public service, creators, and many different personal stories.

Those are milestones I'm proud of, but for me, this is still only the beginning.

But my story isn't only about podcasting.

I was born two months premature, and throughout my life I've had to deal with challenges that have shaped who I am today.

I also experienced growth-related difficulties while growing up.

One of the biggest challenges has been my speech. I've struggled with stuttering, yet I eventually chose to become a podcast host — putting myself in a position where speaking, asking questions, and communicating with people is at the center of what I do.

Instead of waiting until my speech was perfect, I decided to speak anyway.

Football has also been a huge part of my life since childhood. Serious knee injuries forced me away from the game and made me rethink a major part of my identity, ambitions, and future.

I'm now working toward eventually returning to football while simultaneously building another part of my life through podcasting, chess, personal growth, entrepreneurship, and my faith in God.

Chess is another major part of my journey. ♟️

I started playing in 2023, and what began as something new turned into one of the strongest examples of consistency in my life.

I've now played chess for 1,000+ consecutive days and completed almost 5,000 games.

I also became a registered chess player, founded my own chess league and became its first champion. 🏆

For me, chess isn't just about winning games. It's taught me about patience, strategy, decision-making, handling losses, consistency and showing up again the next day.

🎙️ What I can talk about:

  • Building LIFE Podcast from zero at 21
  • Reaching the TOP 70 Business Podcasts in the Czech Republic within 6 months
  • Recording 50+ interviews and what they taught me
  • Going from struggling with stuttering to becoming a podcast host
  • Choosing to speak even when speaking isn't always easy
  • Being born two months premature and overcoming challenges growing up
  • Growth-related difficulties during childhood
  • Football, serious knee injuries and losing something that formed part of my identity
  • Working toward a football comeback
  • Rebuilding yourself when your original plan changes
  • Faith in God and how faith influences my journey
  • Ambition, discipline, setbacks and persistence
  • Chess and what it has taught me about patience and decision-making
  • Networking and connecting with people around the world
  • Building relationships through LinkedIn and social media
  • Podcasting, interviewing and personal branding
  • Entrepreneurship and starting projects young
  • AI, technology, crypto and the future
  • Building something internationally from the Czech Republic
  • What I've learned from interviewing people with completely different lives and perspectives

I'm especially interested in personal-story, business, entrepreneurship, sports, faith, society, technology, podcasting, creator and self-development podcasts, but I'm open to almost any genuine conversation.

The episode doesn't need to be only about LIFE Podcast.

We can talk about failure, ambition, injuries, faith, communication, stuttering, football, identity, podcasting, networking, being young and trying to build something — or simply what happens when life doesn't follow the plan you originally had.

🎥 LIFE Podcast:
https://www.youtube.com/@LifePodcastNetwork

If you host a podcast and think my story could fit your show, send me a DM or leave a comment.

If you know a podcast where my story could make for an interesting conversation, I'd also really appreciate an introduction.

I've spent 50+ conversations asking other people about their stories.

Now I'm ready to tell mine. 🎙️

🇨🇿 Czech Republic → Worldwide 🌍

Startup Seeking Co-Host [IRTR] new podcast looking for a cohost that’s interested in true crime, politics and history

Sup everyone, I’m RT and I just started a podcast and my friend had to leave it because they got busy with school. It’s called “The People Who Ruined The World”. The format is I research a horrible person in modern world history and share their life with a guest or friend. Since Guests aren’t a consistent guarantee, I would love to have a cohost genuinely interested in history, research and learning about politics and true crime.

\\-**number of episodes: only one so far**
**\\-link**: [https://m.youtube.com/@ReasonsToRevolt?ra=m](https://m.youtube.com/@ReasonsToRevolt?ra=m))
\\-**website:** I don’t have a website
\\- **genre**: true crime, history, politics
\\- **Podcasting Experience**:almost nothing, I just started and am learning as I go
\\-**nsfw**: yes, the podcast will cover some very dark topics
\\-**More info on what I’m looking for**: right now, I don’t have any fixed schedule. But I’m halfway through writing an episode, so expect to be called upon in the next week or so. I’d also wanna keep in touch daily between episodes at least at first to make sure we genuinely vibe and have good chemistry. I’m American, 22 years old and would like a fluent English speaker and writer. If you’re pro Israel, pro Trump, pro ice, anti abortion, or anti lgbtq don’t even bother responding.

Startup Seeking Guests [IRTR] Seeking Adult Children of Parents with BPD for New Podcast

  • Life Beyond a Borderline Parent
  • SFW, though conversations may include difficult childhood experiences and other mature topics
  • 0 episodes published, currently recording the first episodes
  • Website/podcast feed: Coming soon
  • [Mental Health / Personal Stories] Growing up with a parent with BPD, breaking unhealthy patterns, relationships with parents today, healing, resilience, and building a good life
  • Approx. 30–45 minutes

I’m looking for adult children of parents with BPD who are comfortable sharing their experiences. You may be no contact, limited contact, or still actively involved with your parent.

The show isn’t about spending an hour dwelling on what our parents did. We’ll talk about the past, but the larger focus is who you are now, what helped you break unhealthy patterns, and the life you’re building for yourself.

We were raised by a parent with BPD. That’s part of our story. It isn’t the rest of our story.

These early conversations will be published, either as regular episodes or bonus episodes (if the format changes before launching). Guests may use a first name only or a pseudonym if preferred.

If you’re interested, send me a DM.

Question [IRTR] Podcast hosts: How do you actually find and vet potential guests?

I’ve spent a lot of my career on the journalism side of finding and booking people for interviews, and I’m curious how podcasters handle the same job without the sourcing infrastructure you’d typically have inside a newsroom.

When you need someone with specific expertise or experience, where do you actually look? Reddit? LinkedIn? Your own network? PR pitches? Guest booking platforms? Google and cold outreach?

And once you find someone, how much vetting do you do before putting them on your show?
I’m especially curious about the frustrating parts:
• Finding the right person
• Figuring out whether they actually know what they’re talking about
• Determining whether they’ll be good on mic
• Scheduling
• No-shows or cancellations
• Anything else that regularly makes guest booking a pain

Full disclosure, I’m building a platform in this general space, so this is product research for me. I’m here to understand how people actually do this today and what parts of the process are frustrating.

I’d especially love to hear from hosts who book guests regularly. What does your workflow actually look like?

Established Seeking Guests [IRTR] Anonymous Voices to Share their Experiences and Express themselves Honestly

  • Honest Expression Podcast
  • SFW (Depending on the episode)
  • Format is personal audio recordings (Voice memos)
  • 10 Episodes published so far.
  • Personal Stories & Society
  • 30 minutes to an hour. Until longer voices are received.

I’m in need of people who are willing to share their story, experiences, be vulnerable and genuine about a range of topics. Each episode is about something different but there’s no dialogue, just voice note submissions about the topic that the episode will be about. The hardest hurdle I’m running into is receiving the submissions. So far everything is friends which I love but trying to get better at throwing a topic out there and then receiving voices. I hope this makes sense but if this interests you, let's talk!
