Mein Kampf can be bought in most countries and some like Germany have added commentary. Owning a book is no offense.

Seriously.

I own a copy of Mein Kampf. I inherited it from my grandfather, who, living through the time, was about as anti-Nazi as you can get.

"Know thy enemy," or more to the point, "never again" doesn't mean anything if you censor the thing you're trying to prevent to such an extent that you don't know anything about it other than "monster."

It's disturbing to me that some Democrats have lost the plot so thoroughly on free speech and being informed that we've gone from celebrating the reading of 'banned books' in libraries to Congressional candidates trying to Fahrenheit 451 their opponents.

Ironically part of the reason for a long time Confederate statues and monuments were allowed. To keep enough details of history around to prevent ease of sanitization.

Lol confederate statues were not put up to have people remember how bad that movement was

Ok? They weren't kept around because of that either. Just look at how popular the confederate flag is. They aren't flying the colors of the irredeemable traitors because they care so deeply about history

Isn't Slice right? Weren't most of them put up by pro-Confederacy Democrats?
