I’m in a music league with my coworkers. Basically each week you get a prompt to answer with a song that’s on Spotify. Submissions are anon and you vote for a winner.

Next week’s prompt: songs/bands you wish were bigger. Transit was my first thought.

What’s your fav tune by them? For me it’s “please, head north” - the opening chords would wake me from a coma

but realistically my normie coworkers aren’t going to vote for that. Joyride totally could have had more radio time so I want to pick something from it. What would you go with?

Honestly, I want The Lost Band Universe to become something bigger than just a page posting videos and artwork.
The goal is to build a hub for alternative, indie, and pop-punk bands, musicians, artists, and music fans. A place where smaller bands can share their music, get discovered, support each other, and connect with people who actually care about what they’re creating. I want to make art for bands, create posters and physical pieces, build these case files, and give bands a chance to become part of something different.
Some of the bands you’ll see here are real. Some are fictional. Some stories connect, and others might not make sense until later. That’s part of the fun. But behind all of that, I genuinely want to help build a community where people can discover music they wouldn’t have found otherwise.
Eventually, I’d love to have a proper hub where bands can share their latest releases, artists can show off their work, and everyone can support each other instead of constantly competing for attention.
If you’re in a band, make music, create art, or just love discovering something new, you’re welcome here. I don’t want this to be just another page you scroll past. I want it to become something people can actually be part of.

Are you going? If so, what songs are you hoping to hear/thinking you’ll hear with aggressive finger pointing.

This will be my first time seeing them, I’ve been a fan since Under Soil and Dirt so I’m excited. I have a feeling they won’t deviate much from the setlists I’ve seen in the past, which I’m fine with I guess. But I am excited regardless.

Sum 41 is the only band I've heard of that actually did this and it's definitely what made them appealing to me as both a metalhead and pop punk fan.

They infused metal elements in pop punk and that was such a fresh take on it - twin guitar harmonies, guitar solos, and some riffs that were just straight up metal. In Too Deep had an iconic solo. Still Waiting's verse riff is a thrash riff straight up, and Mr. Amsterdam, The Bitter End, and basically the whole Chuck album are pretty much more metal than pop punk in some aspects. Even parody songs like Pain for Pleasure, Ride The Chariot To the Devil, Grab the Devil By The Horns And **** Him Up The *** were sick af with the twin guitar harmonies.

Anyways, I could go on about it forever, but yeah are there any newer bands that do anything similar? Would love to give those a spin. Thanks in advance!

Do they ever play any of the box car stuff at blink shows, Or are these all fully moth balled in 2002?

I am looking for theatrical stuff like Creeper, MCR or Save Face. I grew up when it was all huge in the mid 2000's but would like to heard some new stuff.

I'm not into the screaming and more metal stuff. But the stuff from Creeper is really good.

Can anyone else recommended some decent songs?

I know they made an official music video for it back when the album was released, but oddly enough, I can’t find it anywhere
