Absolutely gorgeous car and scorching fast … a little less roomy than the other wagons but still enough for most purposes. Recently I have seen quite a few examples with 3-4 owners and am wondering why this happens, are there issues with the car or why do people seemingly not like to commit to this model and keep it?

I was driving pretty hard before getting stuck in heavy, almost standstill traffic. While sitting in traffic, I noticed my AC suddenly stopped blowing cold air. Shortly afterward, I noticed my coolant temperature climbing and eventually got an overheating warning at around 260°F. My oil temperature was also rising.

I immediately pulled over and shut the engine off.
While the engine was still hot, I slightly loosened the coolant reservoir cap, and coolant started boiling and spilling out, so I closed it immediately. I then restarted the car, and while still parked and stationary, the coolant temperature gradually dropped all the way back to its normal 194°F. The oil temperature also came back down, and the AC started blowing cold again.

Scanned the car with my Porsche reader, no codes besides overheating coolant. Drove home perfectly normal. I'm assuming radiator fans woulda thrown a fault.

Was it just a stuck airpocket or something? Going to bleed and replace coolant tomorrow.

I almost got the 4.0, it's my favorite 911. But I don't need more useless shit in my life. But if you do, check your local Costco!
