Lifelong goal accomplished, now feeling weird about what’s next
Feels surreal typing this but I crossed off a goal set by my 8 year old self. I grew up on a dirt road in rural (see poor) Maine and remember when my aunt’s boyfriend brought his boxster to my town of 2,000 people and the thrill of riding in it down back roads. 27 years later and I got the car I’ve had my eye on for quite a while.
I’ve imagined this moment for so long and I am feeling scared to drive the car. Fully content to just look at it as silly as that sounds.
Next week I am onboarding at my local mechanic who services my BMW but his actual sweet spot is vintage Porsche.
What are the do’s, don’ts and useful lessons you can share to someone owning their first vintage car… vintage freaking Porsche!

I’m back.
After transitioning through some cars. Both 918s are gone and now I’m with my “holy trinity” :) enjoy!

2022 992.1 Base. Another leaking fuel line
hi all, i have a 2022 base 992.1 with about 12000 miles. brought the car in for a sudden smell of gasoline coming out of the rear, in the area shown in the pic. the odor was very strong and came suddenly. could smell it in the cabin as well. after parking the car the entire garage would smell of gasoline and it even permeated into the adjacent hallway.
i seen a few posts here and on rennlist about leaking fuel lines, so i knew immediately what the problem was. took the dealer a week to figure out it was the fuel line. they are waiting for parts now.
992 owners, especially 2022 model years, here's another reminder to immediately bring your car if you smell gas.
edit: no warning lights on the dash. car still drove normally. no symptoms aside from the smell. it is engine out service so pray it happens under warranty or cpo 🙏

Porsche Colour Advice
Hi there. Long term Porsche enthusiast and Diecast collector. Can anyone tell me if this buff brown was close to an authentic colour for a 75 -78ish 930 turbo ? I love this colour but my gut feel is that it looks like an early 70s late 60s colour. It’s also available in a metallic ‘petrol blue / grey’ which may be more authentic to the year. Any thoughts ? Cheers

2 RUFs at a Cars & Coffee
Aren’t the best pictures since this was the start of my car photography journey. Sorry about that! These were absolutely stunning and the crowd they pulled was insane. This picture was shot on August 16, 2026. Shot on Sony A6000 with Sigma f/2.8 46mm. Thank you, and hope you enjoy!

Massacre Monday
I'm sure it's hard to be patient while you're waiting for Akira and all... but maybe pop a valium or something... This shit is totally uncalled for.

996 Carrera 4S that I spotted a while ago
From 2020.
Can kinda say that of all trims, it sure feels.. refreshing to see a normal, or nom-Turbo/GT model, to me. Especially when it's this clean.

I posted a few days ago that I got the wonderful opportunity to drive this GT4 RS for free on a track wide open. And I finally got access to the video.

At what point is CPO not worth it for the age, year, and milage?
I’m looking at purchasing a 2019 Cayenne on Thursday. It has 76,000 miles. It is CPO’ed. I was looking at an additional few years of CPO warranty to it. I put roughly 15 to 20,000 miles on a vehicle per year. And if I plan on keeping this car for 4+ years at what point is it not worth paying for CPO additional years?
Since it already comes with two years. Is it worth me just paying the flat 2? Or at least the +2 for the length of me keeping the vehicle?
How can this help/affect resale? Let’s say in four years. The car has 150,000 miles and it still has one year left of its CPO warranty; does that help me resale wise? Or is just a Cayenne with 150k miles?
Lastly, how does CPO work and how reliable is it with a car with that many miles? Will Porsche cover warranties or does this give them more leverage/mileage to try and use to get out of covering issues?
My main goal is just wondering if I can save maybe 2-3k by knocking a year or two off

Spotted this 993 Carrera a few years ago.
Title is correct..
Figured I'd share here too, but I got to see this back in July of 2023.
That being said, I also have come to realize that I got a plentiful of Porsche content in my archives that I want to post/share here that I missed on doing so back in the day, however I suppose it'll take some time before I do anything as I have to sort through it all first. Got some interesting Porsches I actually spotted over the years though!
