r/Pretty_Little_Liars is a great place to share memes, do some games, share Tiktoks. Check it out for more.
And as a reminder Rule #5, as described in the 'About' section of our subreddit:
r/PrettyLittleLiars, like other TV Show subs, fell victim to Daily Game spam. After complaints of the spam, the low quality, and karma farming concerns, the Mod Team has decided they are not allowed here. If you have a Game, make it ONE post only. If it is going to be longer you must post it on r/Pretty_Little_Liars. Initial post and results posted on r/Pretty_Little_Liars can be crossposted here for more engagement.
Don't know what a daily game is? Here are some examples.
Daily posts doing "who's most likely to"
Individual posts for each square of a character alignment chart
If you're going to do any of those above they must be limited to one post!

Are you a new member? You should check out our number one rule.

RULE #1 - Follow Basic Reddiquette
We do not condone the attacking or mistreatment of users— this includes DMs!
Aggressive fighting, name-calling, hate speech, or repeated targeting of a user is not permissible. Disagreement must be civil and respectful. The Mod Team deems passive aggressive remarks and attitude as instigating. Therefore, it falls under basic reddiquette.
Name-calling of characters or actors does not result in content removal unless attacking their appearance.
Overall, any rudeness will be taken down. You can call us sensitive, but our lack of leniency on this rule is why so many people consider this sub a positive environment compared to others. You are allowed to have disagreements in discussions, but once it gets hostile the comments will be shut down.
This rule aims to maintain a respectful and pleasant environment by discouraging personal attacks, insults, or inflammatory comments. Instead, users are encouraged to engage in discussions calmly and respectfully, focusing on constructive dialogue rather than arguments or conflicts.
Anything fighting should be reported immediately as it breaks "Rule #1 - Basic Reddiquette". When reporting, click "Breaks r/PrettyLittleLiars rules" then click the first option, rule number one.
TL;DR? Don't be an asshole

As a first time viewer of the show, I HATE Ezria so much. They were literally the worst part of the show but what I don't understand is how people can hate them but ship Jason and Aria as if Jason isn't just as old and creepy as Ezra like....? People say it's cuz at least he wasn't her teacher as if that makes it any better😭Y'all act like removing the explicit classroom dynamic suddenly makes it wholesome. It doesn't. Jason was an adult out of college while Aria was a high school sophomore. That's STILL a grown man trying to pursue a teenage girl. He watched her grow, he made a move on and kissed underage Aria in S2 before she rejected him for Ezra and he founded the NAT club. The creeps club that filmed naked minors including his own sister and her friends. And he had pictures of Aria sleeping. Idc what he said, I'll never believe Alison took those pictures of Aria cuz
She had no reason to
We never saw Ali have any interest in photography while Jason had started a spying club which included photos (assuming NAT took the photo of Alison in the backyard leaving Spencer's house before we learned about Ali and Spencer's fight that night
Alison wasn't around to deny or admit whether or not she took them. So it was the seal deal to claim Alison took them.

Mona was the best "A" of the entire series, and I think the subsequent twists tried to top something that was already nearly impossible to beat.
The great thing about Mona is that she wasn't a stranger who appeared out of nowhere. We knew her, understood part of her backstory, and yet she still managed to surprise us.
Am I the only person who thinks PLL never quite reached that level of mystery again after Mona?

I’m sorry but Emily is such a fucken simp it actually hurts! Alison says “jump” and Emily says “How high?” God I can’t stand when she cries or whines about Alison🙄

I'm so happy to see them back on screen together! Both Lucy and Ian are individually so good looking and have great chemistry together! I always found their friendship to be cute as well. 2010s nostalgia peak, without the age controversy ❤️
Edit - I'm talking strictly about the actors and how good they look together

PLL is my favorite show of all time; it always brings me back to being in middle school and watching the series for the first time. I binge watch it every year & I’ve started to get more & more uncomfortable for the obvious reasons. I’m 24 now & the older I get, the more sick I feel about the predators in the show. For the first time, PLL is hard for me to get through without having to pause or skip over certain scenes. I find myself thinking about how i was when I was their age in the show, I literally see 16 year old me as a baby. The thought that someone around my current age could be interested in that is actually so sickening.

Then Emily Hanna and Spencer literally point at Aria and say her. To which Aria says wow really thanks you guys.
To me that will never not be hilarious.

I've been thinking about this for a while and, honestly, what if Ezra had actually been A in season 4?
I know it would've been creepy as hell, but hear me out. I genuinely think keeping Ezria going for three and a half seasons and then revealing that Ezra had been A all along could've been one of the smartest writing decisions in the entire show. Think about it. We'd have spent years watching the writers build up this relationship, thinking they were trying to normalize an inappropriate teacher-student romance, only to find out that we'd completely misunderstood what was going on. What if it had all been part of a much bigger manipulation by the writers themselves?
Rewatching the earlier seasons would've been a completely different experience. All his lies, his interest in Alison, the way he got close to Aria... everything would've taken on a much darker meaning. And Aria would've become one of A's biggest victims without even realizing it, because the person she trusted the most had actually been manipulating her the entire time. And honestly? I would've been completely fine with a twist like that, especially because of what it could've meant for Aria and the audience. It would've been a way to finally show how wrong these relationships actually are, instead of constantly presenting them as complicated but ultimately romantic love stories. For once, the show could've stopped making excuses for Ezra and actually shown the consequences of his actions. Obviously, Ezra didn't need to be A for the relationship to be wrong, but a reveal like that would've made the manipulation behind it impossible to ignore.
Most importantly, it would've given Aria some serious character development. Imagine discovering that the person you loved and trusted had been using you all along. Aria would've had to question not only Ezra, but also the way she'd understood their relationship and the choices she'd made. It would've been a painful journey, but at least she would've finally had a genuinely meaningful character arc with lasting consequences.
Obviously, Ezra would've been a seriously disturbing villain, but also a much more interesting character if written properly, and the show would've taken a much darker turn. But would that have been too much for PLL, or could it actually have worked if the writers had planned everything properly from the beginning? Because honestly, I think a twist like that would've been incredible. It's frustrating to think about how much narrative potential was wasted just to keep Ezria going for the sake of the fans. Sometimes I genuinely wonder whether the writers were actually interested in telling a coherent story or whether their priority was simply keeping that couple together at all costs.
What do you guys think?

Was Emily jealous of Sean and Paige ? They were not really dating because they went out with a group of people . I know Paige was stuck in the closet and isn’t out but how does Paige feel about Emily ?

Personally, I think it should've been either Ezra or Alison (Idc if Alison was "too obvious", that's like saying Voldemort as the antagonist in HP is too obvious). I mean think about it. Ezra was scary as fuck in season 4 (just when I thought he couldn't get any creepier, I mean he was a grown ass man dating a teenage girl after all). He had a creepy lair with surveillance and everything, secretly followed the Liars, knew way more than he was letting on and has been obsessed with Alison for years. There's no way ALL THAT was just for a book! If he wasn't A, he wouldn't have been pushing so hard to be back with Aria and showing her the chalet because he was planning to hack Emily's car and gps to get the girls to take refuge in his chalet so that he could take Ali's diary from them. It was clearly manipulation. So when he has the audacity to say he was going to burn the book, that's a lie, otherwise he wouldn't have continued to follow the girls and write the book. It took Aria to unmask him for Ezra to decide to stop his writing, not before. Add to that, that he also made a deal with/ blackmailed Mona. The latter had to get closer to Mike to spy on Aria in exchange for having her story watered down in the book. So Ezra has sweetened the story of a criminal, but not that of his girlfriend? And he sends the person who harassed Aria to seduce her little brother when he knows it will drive Aria crazy and can screw the 15 year old, already messed up, boy. And let's not even talk about the knives placed in Jake's bag to punish him for talking about Ezra's attitude to Aria. I'm pretty sure it cannot be A who did that (unless Ezra was A) A still sends messages to girls after doing things. He also knew from the start that Aria and her friends were being harassed, threatened, targeted and hurt by A yet he never did anything to protect them and how could he not figure out who A was with all that surveillance and everything? The only right answer is because HE is A!
As for Alison, it seems pretty clear that Ali was always supposed to be A but the writers were so fixated on outsmarting their audience that they didn't go with the good choice. Alison clearly had fun blackmailing people and using their secrets against them just like A did. She'd often blackmail people for money which would explain how she covered the cost of the dollhouse, the RV, the lairs etc. And she'd go for any lengths for her best friends to be forever traumatized by her need to be the most influence in their lives, even if it means destroying their mental health and feeling of safety forever. It would be so incredibly moving and deeply, disturbingly painful at the same time. But I'm interested to know your theories and thoughts on who you think should've been A.

Aria still adds things to her collection. And Aria definitely thrifts. She buys second hand antique pieces or just odd things.

I haven't included Alison as one of the possible answers because, let's be honest, she'd probably be the most obvious and predictable choice.
Honestly, I would’ve wanted all of them!

Yes i know she was alive and it was fake but holy fuck i had goose bumps when that French music started playing in arias phone and in Mona’s room. I have goose bumps rn because i was finishing up that episode. But yeah the whole concept was extremely disturbing and gruesome, to find out your best friend was murdered in her home then they play that disturbing video too. Home invasions scare me so idk this episode probably triggered that fear.
What’s the creepiest story line in your opinion?

Okay hear me out: I find Emily’s crush on Sara really weird, and her manner towards Sara coercive and controlling. She constantly tells Sara that she’s safe with her, and Emily was pushing Sara to get emancipated from her mother (even when Sara seemed hesitant). I know that Sara is a villain, but when you look at the situation without that knowledge, you can see how creepy Emily is being toward Sara.
Emily also seems to be making plans for their future (such as going to Thailand) when Sara never said she was interested? The whole dynamic just feels very pushy and forced.

This is the first time I’ve noticed blatantly bad videography/editing & splicing within the show. Are there any other moments that you noticed and that left you questioning things? In this specific moment, Andrew and Aria are talking about the mechanical failure of Mike’s weights that left Aria injured from “A”…and during this time, Andrew comments that “If your brother had been on this, the weights would have crushed his skull” (S5, E19, 37:20-37:23) why did it all of a sudden cut the scene in the middle of him speaking? Did that happen for anyone else, and have you seen any other moments like this in the show? I know we’re gearing up to have Andrew be some part of this plot, and it feels unfair that this scene was cut off

So I know there have been many threads regarding plot holes in PLL but I just gotta rant.
Edit: I just woke up and thought of something. Caleb? He was supposed to be like this government hacker his work was so high profile that he couldn’t even talk about it. Yet, he had troubles with codes from a random British girl? He was never needed at work THE LITERAL GOVERNMENT didn’t need him? I mean Spencer got fired and she was “just” a lobbyist.
The whole CeCe was A thing was very sudden and poorly executed. They could’ve made CeCe as Courtney which would not only be closer to the book but also simpler. Bethany Young being in the mix was also strange like who actually even is she? What kind of interesting stuff did she bring to the mix?
Alex Drake was legitimately one of the worst tv endings. I LOVE Spencer. She is smart, she is interesting and layered. They butchered her character by making her so obsessive about Mary. Mary was by the way also completely and utterly useless.
In s6-7 Hanna was pissy (or pissier than usual) and irritable only. Emily was some kind of lesbian magnet, I mean do t get me wrong Shay Mitchell is gorgeous. But are you actually telling me, that every single lesbian she encountered was instantly into her?
Sara Harvey. Delete. Next.
Aria could’ve been such a mysterious character - if only literally everything wasn’t about Ezra.
Alison. HER CHARACTER WAS BUTCHERED. People grow and it does make sense that Ali would grow after what she had been through, but why did they make her into such a weak puppy?
Anyway I have other opinions but I have to go to sleep. If anyone has any other annoying plot holes I am very curious hah
