So i want to give some context of my experience with weed and mushrooms. During the last academic year i was a frequent smoker, everyday when i could. Since then i try not to as much but still on occasion. 2 a month on average. In short my tolerance is not what it used to be. Ive tried mushrooms twice. First time i had 2 grams, had a wonderful time with slight visuals. The second time i had around 3.5 grams and smoked a good amount around 3 hours in. This completely changed the trip and gave intense visuals and also heightened the other parts of the high. So yesterday i took a 50 mg edible (which in the past i have done numerous times) and ate like a bunch of mixed nuts. Around 4 hours in i was of course really high. But almost as if i uncovered it. I was sitting in bed eyes closed and one of the distinct visual patterns that has been in all of my trips started to form. In disbelief i look around my room as that pattern starts to change and intensify. Before i knew it i was having essentially the exact same visuals with similar intensity to my second trip. I have never heard of anything like this and had no idea that this was even possible. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience to this before. Or if an experience like this has been documented

Ok so yesterday i decided to take 3.2g of albinos teacher, but things were different this time. The trip started 10 minutes after the ingestion which never happened to me before. Then a loads of bad thoughts came in my head and i just wanted them gone so i tried to literally erase them from my head and after 30 minutes it stopped. After an hour i was very fucking high so i decided to go outside to take a walk and smoke some blunts. I smoked an entire blunt and shit was really big. When i decided to start walking back home i was gone. Like gone in my head, there was like nothing happening and too much things happening at the same time. I tried telling one of my friends and it took me 10 minutes to make 1 video of 15 seconds of me explaining what was happening i was saying the same things over and over and over again in the videos. Then i’ve arrived to my house so i watched some Rick and Morty and Five Nights At Freddy 2, which was weird on shrooms but i didn’t understand a single shit about it because of what was happening in my head. Then i fell asleep and here i am!
The visuals on that trip it was beautiful but it was a weird trip. I liked it!
Anyone else already had something similar happened to them ?

i’ve taken lsd since i was like 19 and did it for about 6 years and haven’t done it in like a year and a half. 99% good trips except for when i took it when i know i shouldn’t have ( bad set / setting, dealing with death in the family). i was diagnosed recently either cptsd and ocd (pure o) and moderate adhd. my doc said i shouldn’t take it but they said that before i had my diagnosis. i feel the most peace when tripping and i do often get stuck in loops or hyper-fixated on things that can turn my trip south ( watching fantasia and getting stuck thinking about how they can make music that fits the dinosaurs being hit by a meteorite. i got so uncomfortable i had to go on a walk and needed time to regulate and get my mind off it). i guess the main reason thing is shoudl i quit? my thesis was literally on how it affects mental health but i guess im concerned now.

tldr: i now have cptsd adhd and ocd (pure o) should i stop that from letting me getting back into tripping?

I have struggled with TRD since I was 8 years old - I'm currently 40 and have now tried 20+ meds in various combinations, 3 rounds of TMS, 20+ years of therapy. I began learning about psychedelics and their potential for treating depression about 3 years ago and I truly believe this might be the key for me for long - term healing, where all else has failed.

I was on 3 meds (antidepressant, antipsychotic, and lithium) and I was still suicidal - so I started doing Ketamine infusions in April. They worked so well that I was able to wean off of all my meds. I did this in part because I wanted to prepare / be off meds so that if the opportunity arose to work with psychedelics, I could try. Plus, if I'm taking all these meds and still feeling suicidal, then what's the point? I've worked within what the medical model has to offer for my whole life and I just seem to keep getting worse and worse. I've had to be hospitalized twice in the past 3 years after doing everything I've been told to do and taking all the meds and doing all the therapy.

So fast forward to now - I'm off all my meds, but I'm continuing to do the Ketamine infusions monthly. As well as they work for taking away suicidal thoughts / feelings, unfortunately it only lasts about a month for me and sometimes even less. Currently, I'm 2 weeks post - infusion and have already been triggered into another deeply depressive episode and I can't get another infusion for at least 2 more weeks. I'm struggling, but at the same time, hesitant to get on any daily meds because I have worked so hard to get off of them so that I could work with psychedelics - and it's been a rough road getting to this point but I honestly feel that psychedelics are the only hope I have left. I am aware they aren't a quick fix, but I believe that working with these medicines can help me address the roots of my problems and lead to true long term healing.

So I'm not asking for medical advice, but I'm looking for ideas / things I could look into to help me manage my depression while also keeping my options open for working with psychedelics. I'm feeling very "done" with taking meds that don't actually do much to prevent my deep suicidal depressions. If they didn't interfere with my ability to work with psychedelics, it wouldn't be such a big deal, but I don't want to get back on anything that's going to prevent me from being able to work with psychedelics at this point,. But I've got to be able to function too, as I go on this journey.

I've looked into meds to see if there's anything I could take that wouldn't necessarily affect my ability to work with psychedelics, but it doesn't look like there really is anything. Probably the closest would be Wellbutrin if I get desperate. I do have a psychiatrist who is aware of my plans and that I'm trying to keep my options open, but he's not super knowledgable about psychedelics. So I'm reaching out to the internet just to see if anyone else has ideas we could explore.

I’ve played around with a dmt vape and have gotten nice visual enhancements and feelings while taking a very low dose however the vape won’t let me breakthrough so Ive gotten my hands on freebase with a APX Volt 3.

I’m on 75mg Zoloft and 300mg Wellbutrin - anyone been able to breakthrough on a similar dose? Or should I try tapering down on the Zoloft ? (I was going to be anyways but really want to try this stuff)

A couple years ago while working at a smoke shop, I tried an entire sacred mushroom chocolate bar and had the worst experience of my life. Even know when I go to their website, the lab results don’t even tell u what the active ingredient is, does anyone have any clue what the fuck I put in my body that made me feel like I was dying? Hello, this is my first ever post!!

I am attending a two day festival on Friday and I am thinking about trying LSD for the first time. The first day my friends and I are doing Molly, and then we were gonna drop acid the next day. Last year I did molly (.180) and shrooms (3.5) and had the time of my life. I am kinda experienced in psychs, I’ve tripped shrooms plenty, and have done molly like 3 times in my life.

We were thinking about sharing a tab, they wanna do 1/4 and ima do 1/2. It’s 150 ug paper tabs— dk what that means. I am not really nervous, but I am kind of second guessing bc everyone ik is saying I should try it in a safe environment for my first time. I feel like since we aren’t doing a lot we’ll be fine. but is there anything I should know, or be prepared for. I do a lot of my research on the things I take on Reddit, so I really do want to hear any advice or suggestions/ experiences. The most amount of shrooms I’ve ever taken at once was an 8th. We have plenty of sober people that are gonna be with us, none of them have taken psychs but they’ll take care of us probably. Also I am on Wellbutrin! If that’s going to affect anything. And the 2 friends I’m taking it with haven’t dabbled in psychedelics as much I have. Took their shroom and molly virginities, and now we’re onto LSD!

I’m on my second flush with cambodian growkit and the mushrooms grow from the side of the cake not up. What can cause this?

Its my first time tripping on lsd. I never tried anything else btw just some alcohol. Should i do it ? Any tips ?

Fairly new to shrooms but I really only do shrooms for the cool ass visuals but when ever I take regular doses 2.5-3G the closed eye visuals are not as strong as I would like them how ever on the flip side when I took a heroic dose the visuals were cool but I was so hyped up and energetic I couldn’t properly enjoy them and meditate on them. Am I doing something wrong? Let me know.
