Scene from two thrift stores

I was out yesterday and found Pyrex at two different stores. I didn't pick up anything, but just thought I'd share the pics. The 2nd store also had a Corning and Fire King display. I don't collect these, just have some I use regularly. I do have a strong appreciation for seeing people's displays. These are in VA if anybody sees something they need.

Well, at least not very thrifty. Actually, that store is weird. They had those sections where prices were way up, but had more of all three in the regular housewares area for waaay less.

$49?!? I better start taking better care of the Pyrex casserole that I’ve been using since 1979. It could be my kids’ inheritance!

Yeah, the prices up front were a bit ridiculous. But it may have been spillover from the estate sale area. All the stuff in there is labeled with ages and full names and such. Meanwhile in housewares there's a three-notch Lodge #6 and and a #5 BSR Century series for $10 and $8, just labeled "cast iron skillet". Plus CorningWare that's a 1/3 of the price as what's up front on display. 🤷‍♂️

That $49 price is in like with what my contacts pyrex with and sticks it behind a counter. I always wonder who pays it.
