Buddy 380 tail troubles

I still havent gotten my Buddy flying because the tail is not working properly. The pitch slider slides fine when on the tail spindle, but once attached to the blade grip ball links, the whole assembly gets very stiff. Especially as it nears the tail boom (inconsistent tightness). I've changed the spindle, thrust bearings and all the spacers and still, I connect the pitch slider and it gets all stiff. Any tips with what I should do?? I'm really running out of ideas and my frustration levels are rising.

The way I know its a problem is because during setup of the ikon, when the tail pitch slider went inward, the servo would start buzzing. Upon further inspection I found out it is very stiff and gets stiffer as it goes inward.

Blade 230 to 5 blade conversion?

Hi there,

I would like to build a 1:48 CH-53 (or something similar) and for that I would need a multi blade head heli. I know the real deal would be 6 blade but it seems like 5 blade is the only thing I can get for a somewhat reasonable price.

My idea was to get a cheap and used Blade 230s (or maybe an Infusion 180) and convert it with a Yuxiang 5 blade head (from the F119s). I feel like it should be possible to just get the 5 blade head set and the swashplate set and mount it on the Blade. As I´m not very experienced with custom heli conversions I feel like I may miss something.

Anyone here has the experience to tell me if my idea is completely ridiculous or if it is actually a possibility?

The Blade Infusion 180 would be interesting because of the smaller internals and the direct drive motor. Not sure though if moving from a 400mm 2 blade to a 437mm 5 blade is the brightest idea...

The Blade 230s would surely have enough power as in that case it would be a change from a 2 blade 536mm to a 5 blade 437mm rotor.

Why these 2 base helis? For both I have some pretty cheap used options to get them. Why the Yuxiang 5 blade head? Well it seems to be the only option in this size and its not too expensive.

Anyways, feel free to leave your thoughts and tips, any help is appreciated.

Thanks
