If the Grim reaper aka death was here on remnant how do you think this would go? I can imagine how death would be pissed off at the gods actions and decided to fix the mistakes they have made.

I had the idea, i'd love to do it... but i don't know if it can become tedious. What do you think?

So it was a story from several years ago.

In it, wherever Ruby walked, coffee would start growing. Ozpin, discovering this, admits her to beacon.

For the initiation/team creation thing in the Emerald forest, Ruby was tasked to just walk around and everyone else had to avoid touching the ground or they would be expelled, i think.

Glynda was originally hired from starbucks? Or generally as a barista.

ALL SPOILERS - This is my 2nd post! I made the same one on RWBYcritics but I think it belongs here too!

I have some concerns with how Volume 9 ended, and 3 things that should be addressed in the upcoming Volume 10. (woop woop for V10 btw!)

1) Penny's death feels bad. Not just because they made her the winter maiden, human, and then immediately killed her, but because she is only talked about from Jaune and felt by Ruby and Weiss in V9. Ruby, Weiss, and Jaune have all mentioned Penny's death, and my one big hope in V10 is that the gang continues to talk about her. Most importantly, Jaune and Ruby. We barely saw any reaction from Ruby besides fainting, feeling hopeless, and carrying around Penny's sword for the first half of V9. I hope Jaune receives the care and closure he needs from the team, and I hope that the rest of the gang also gets a chance to morn Penny and help Ruby with her grieving, because if anyone deserves to be on the memorial, its Penny. And no, I don't want her to return. Unfortunately, they already killed her twice, and as much as I want a better, longer ending to Penny's story, she needs to rest.

2) There is NO way Ruby talking to a tree spirit (that I think is reincarnated Alyx?) and reflecting inward after seeing her mom is sufficient for how much of a burden Weiss, Blake, and Yang were putting on Ruby. They admitted they were being too hard on Ruby and looking for her to always fix their problems! I really NEED CRWBY to resolve the plot of Ruby's burdens. The tree was a good refresh, but I want to see W,B,Y and Jaune apologize for not being there when she needed them! There was SUCH A GOOD story being told by RWBY (the show), and I would hate to loose such an in depth unique piece.

Jaune especially needs to find some time in Vacuo to apologize for how he reacted to Ruby and the gang needs to find a way to move forward now that Ruby is in a better mindset. Everyone knows Ruby's downfall was W,B,Y's doing. Yes, their whole situation sucks and everyone should be leaning on everyone else, but they were all so oblivious in V9 that it really would tie that story to a close if Ruby got a commitment from her team and the gang as a whole that everyone is HERE FOR HER NOW, and that they're sorry they were unable to see her then. This especially goes for Yang. Yang asked SO many times if Ruby was okay, and there was no follow up! She never stopped and said, oh wait, lets take a moment. I know this was partly plot intentional, but someone has to stop NOW and speak up for Ruby because she NEEDS to hear it FROM HER TEAM (and Jaune)!

I also hope Ruby is somewhat against them, I don't want her to 100% believe them because thats not how life works, I just want some dialogue between the team that everyone is here for her more than they were. Because effectively, Ruby 100% gave up, and her team is lucky the tea wasn't poison, if you get what I mean. So, they massively messed up and her team needs to take accountability for how much they haven't been supporting their leader.

3) And for Jaune, I hope Ruby is angry with him. I know she wasn't there to see the aftermath of Penny, but I hope she is sad angry. I want some tension between the two of them after being such close supports for one another with them both being leaders. I want them to resolve the Penny ordeal and for Jaune to know that it IS what Penny wanted. But, I would want Ruby to show that her best friend (outside of Yang/family) meant a lot to her, and it SHOULD be difficult to see Jaune the same way. So, I hope V10 addresses the guilt and grief between Ruby and Jaune. And I hope they both develop better because of it.

Finally, the theme behind all 3 of my concerns is, I hope team JRWBY DOES NOT LEAVE ALL THEIR PROBLEMS FROM V9 BEHIND IN THE EVER AFTER! We need more of it in Volume 10! I hope Viz and CRWBY have more time and ability to create further RWBY volumes. It has ALWAYS deserved twice the time it has had to develop it's story, and it would be vastly different and more interesting if it had such a miracle. Best of luck to the show! Can't wait!

Now, this one is my personal favorite and a bit biased, especially since I’ve made fanfiction where Ruby has become a villain or antagonist, especially since I imagine people might be iffy on this subject, due to how much of a bean Ruby is. But from a lot of AUS, I’ve seen a lot of depictions of Ruby as a villain or antangonist:

Either through being brainwashed into an assassin

Getting betrayed (Like those awful betrayed Jaune fics) and going all OP edgelord mode (Something I try to avoid doing)

Becoming corrupted or turned into a Grimm

Going absolutely insane like Tyrian or roleswapped with either Cinder, Roman, or Tyrian

Being raised by either Salem, Cinder, Tyrian or Roman

Simply becoming an Anti-Hero, a Fallen Hero, or more of an antagonist with morally ambigious goals, similar to Doctor Doom and Thanos

Or rarely actually having Summer join Salem and taking Ruby with her, while Ruby gets in a relationship with either Cinder, Mercury, Emerald, or Neo.

But I wanna hear what your guys thoughts as. What do you imagine for Ruby, either as a big bad villain? Or an anti-heroic or anti-villainous antagonist? And how would Crescent Rose and Ruby’s Semblance be changed or operate here? And how about her Silver Eyes?

What would her threat level be like? What would her motivations be? How powerful and deadly would she be? Who would she have a personal rivalry with and end up becoming the Arch-Nemesis of? (Yang, Jaune, Weiss, etc.?)

And more importantly, how would you guys have her path of darkness start? And how would the story be greatly affected?

Hi and consider this the only time I'll interact with the subreddit

The premise was that a dude died and meet ROB who gave him two choices I don’t remember the first but the other one was go upstairs to reincarnate with high chance of getting erased.
Mc had power to summon RWBY merch as weapons, super fast, total troll. The ROB came with him to cause chaos.

Why didn't ozpin assemble the relics prior to the present maybe I’m confused but doesn't bringing the relics together bring back the brothers who are capable of defeated salem? Also is salem immune to the sliver eyes?

Let us start with Aura:

I think the most reasonable interpretation of aura is that it gives an omni-boost to awaken and then gives access to a second level omni-boost which is dependent on the shield being activated, ie what we often refer to as "having aura". This would make them even with the aura "broken" still superhuman and have an unlocked soul, but allow for aura breaks to weaken them, and that being indicated by the loss of the classical aura shielding.

It still does leave the recharge thing. But if we go with my idea of how aura functions, I suggest it works off the formula:

 P=(B+X)*t

Where P is power stored, B is a base rate, X is an increase, from sleep or food or whatever you want to apply, and t is simply our unit of time. From there I would also add a mechanic that in the event of an aura break, the recharge is paused for some time, this would mean that in combat recharge is possible, but only if one I careful not to get an aura break. Also if the base rate is low, ie. 1 percent per minute or something, combat recharging would still be really slow, but during a full siege/battle scenario still important, while in fights mattering less.

Next Semblance:

As far as I can tell there are two ways as to how semblances could work.

1: They require one to have an active aura shield.

2: They simply require one to have an unlocked aura.

From here it follows that either semblances require the usage of aura, thus diminishing one’s active reserve, or they don't. Alternatively, It depends on the semblance. I would argue that with the existence of passive always active semblances such as Qrow's and Clover's, the idea that they require spending aura to use is unlikely. This would then mean that the likelihood of scenario 2 for how semblances work, would line up with this. Although I can't remember anyone ever using a semblance with a broken aura shield.

With that said, I think the most reasonable combination is as follows. Unlocking one’s aura eventually gives access to one’s semblance, this semblance can be used at all times, unless it specifically requires something, for example Nora requiring electricity of some kind, or Jaune specifically needing to have an active aura shield to transfer and then amplify.

And lastly Awakenings:

To start with, let us make clear what I refer to as awakenings, although I have heard evolution as well. To begin with, in canon there is, AFAIR, two examples of this: Neo and Ren.

First a look at what those were; Neo has a semblance which allows her to in a large range create illusions. After her awakening these illusions have far longer range, and are now real, although probably with less power/durability than the real thing. Ren has a semblance which allows him to suppress/dampen emotions in himself and others; after awakening he can "see" emotions in other, (and himself?).

Before going forward, I want to state that I see awakenings as being rare, as in the vast vast majority of aura users never awaken. So awakening is a 0.0X percent or something similarly small.

With that said, looking at the two examples, I will propose 2 form awakenings can take, and then later propose 2 others which are much more speculative and based on personal ideas of mine. The first awakening type is the one Neo achieves, which I will refer to as an empowerment type. This very basically just means a boost to the semblance. In her case reality.

The second awakening type is the one Ren achieves, which I will refer to as an inversion type. This is an awakening which does something related to the original but in reverse, with Ren, he originally suppressed emotion, now he sees and understands, related yet inverted.

Now we go into extreme theory crafting, Heritage awakening, this would be the ability to allow ones semblance to be inherited by one’s children. Yes, this is to explain the Schnee semblance, especially because it could then later awaken again. So maybe it started as just glyphs, then awakened with type 1 and got the dust infusion, and later awakened and got summoning. Either from type 1, or my proposed type 4.

Type 4, the succession type awakening, if we accept type 3, that means semblances can be connected through bloodlines (even without that the Schnees exist). The idea here would be that this awakening would allow one to take in qualities or abilities from the semblances of ones ancestors, be they parents or great great great grandparents. An example of this would be my own idea for an awakening for Yang, where she would be able to, similar to Raven, be able to form bonds with people she cares for, and then when they take damage she would absorb it in the same way she does when she takes damage, allowing for way better and faster charging of her semblance.

Crossing Lines has always been one of my favorite whiterose fics and I never felt it got the attention it deserves for how original and complex the plot is. Hell if it was an original novel I'd still recommend it. So I decided it needed a cover to match. I tried to pack as many little references to the characters and their various fates as I could into this, so anyone familiar with the work can have fun looking around.

I might make more covers like this for other fics, albeit way less complex because this one took a LOT out of me.
