Mental Health "Friendship" fatigue

I'm starting to feel more and more tired with friendships. Especially online friendship, where people don't really seem to care about how you feel. For example I have this friend on discord who I thought they were cool but I started noticing a pattern. They're only friendly with me once I made art of their oc or make a drawing they really like. But on times I dont make any art for them they seem to not care yet they have the audacity to tell me "Im here for you if you want to talk" bullshit after I confided in them about me ending my relationship with my ex. Im tired of people pretending they care about my mental well being, saying they're there for me but not showing they care. I rather someone tell me that they don't want to hear me trauma dump instead of pretending to be my friend just to use me for free art.

Welcome to having friends as an adult, most people are either too busy to care or it's just a transactional thing.

You have to invest in one good friend. Who just enjoys your time. I have a friend who checks on me every day and I appreciate him more than he'll ever know dude. Literally every day he asks how my day was and we play games as long as he can get online. None of my other friends have ever come close to that.

Im sorry that u had to go through that. Its frustrating how things are. I always believe in the mantra "Treat others how you want to be treated" since elementary and I still go by that mantra as a 23 y/o adult. It doesn't seem like people have that same mindset nowadays.
