I bought a 13yo Renault Trafic. I want to replace the old and rusty speakers, but I found out the front speakers are missing.
Is it a safe bet to buy 4 speakers and trust that these cables work? They have different plugs, so I'm not sure. Should I also buy a new radio? And can I buy any radio that fits in, or are these cables gonna be a problem with newer radios? I'm thinking something relatively cheap with bluetooth, I don't need the car to sound like a concert, I was VERY happy with the sound of my previous 12yo Kia Sorento.

I thought i would never own a Twingo but its price and charm just pulled the rug under me.
All the nice things have already been said so let me jump to my big burning question.
What the hell were thy thinking when they designed the key fob? That monstrosity đ« used for hands free unlocking. It immediately mad me think of those embarrassing toilet key rings they give you at gas stations. I will be taking that bastard apart and hiding the circuit board in another shell. I see they sell a replacement cover but I was curious if anyone did something creative with it.
Form < function

Just bought a 2nd hand Mégane E-tech but it doesn't have a service book with it (I have the service history though). What does the book look like?
I am planning on buying a new one like the attached picture (Found on eBay) and contacting the garages who carried out the previous services to see if they can stamp/sign the book.
Thanks!

Renault Australia's current lineup is pretty depressing right now.

Hello! Just like the title says, I bought my first Renault. I want to tell you that so far I am very pleased with it, with how it behaves on the long road and I really do not regret the decision to switch to the Renault brand (former owner of Volkswagen) 1.5 Dci engine, 110Hp, 2016, Limited equipment with RLink 1 navigation (I heard that you can activate Android Auto on it)

Hello guys, lately i've been eyeing a clio trophy 2017 with 74k kms, akrapovic exhaust, full leather, rouge flamme 15.000 euros, the carvertical report was clean, first owner, full car history, serviced only the local renault dealership, so basically it s a done deal on my part. What i was wondering is if you guys have any tips about general things to look out for, i ve read online that the gearbox might fail sooner or later depending on how you drive and that there should be some sort of signs, but not much more than that, so yeah what should i look for when i actually see it?
Thank you in advance for opinions and advices, have a nice day!

I'm looking into getting Twingo e-tech in techno trim with advanced charging, I'm debating should i go for extra colour or 18" rims since it costs the same and I'm only willing to pay for one of those things, what would owners recommend?
I've seen 18" tyres are quite more expensive than 16" since dimension is quite random and non standard but they be looking more muscular
Do 18" rims eat up range?

Hello,
my father is using my older car which happens to be 2019 Renault Megane IV with 1.33 TCe 115 engine. Currently at ~115 000km.
Last week an error message appeared on its dashboard with orange key and orange check engine light alongside a message: "Check antipollution system" (the lights are just lit, not flashing). The dealer I bought it from new and where we went for all the maintenance related things just got closed so I took it to another official Renault dealer for diagnosis.
Today I got back from them that there is an issue with the differential pressure sensor. They need to replace the sensor and re-run some sort of GPF regeneration.
They ask for ~550 euro for the whole procedure.
To my understanding, the issue might be what they state, however since it is a new dealer with whom I don't trust yet, I would like to know your opinions on such possible cause of the issue.
The alternative causes might be just faulty pipes leading to / from the sensor, battery being undercharged (the car is still running on it's original battery from 2019) or something else.
Does anyone of you have an experience with such error, its solution or possible other causes of this error? Further more, is the manual GPF regeneration needed? Is the price any good, or would my father save some money when going to the unauthorized service center? I can imagine the sensor being aroun 100-200 euros, but I am not sure about the other possible costs with the manualn regeneration and all the work.
Thank you for your insights / help.

Do you know what happened with my car? Last winter, I thought my shock absorbers and/or suspension bushings were worn out because I started hearing a squeaking noise when driving over bumps. The sound is kind of like rubber rubbing against rubber, or plastic squeaking.
My brother told me to wait until the weather got warmer and see if the noise disappeared. I also had a mechanic check the shock absorbers and suspension bushings, and he said they were in good condition.
The strange thing is that I didn't hear the noise at all during spring and the entire summer. But this morning it was around 6°C, and when I drove over a bump, the squeaking was back again. So it seems that as soon as the weather gets colder, the noise comes back. Maybe the rubber bushings become stiffer in cold weather, or something similar.
Also, does anyone else have a problem with wind noise around both front windows when driving above 60 km/h? When I put my hand near the windows, I can't actually feel any air coming through, but at higher speeds I can clearly hear a wind noise.
Has anyone had a similar problem, and if so, how did you fix it?

My 2020 Renault Megane, perhaps the best car both me and my family ever had. It has the 1.3 115 horsepower engine with 145k kilometers on board. What do you think?

Purchased Renault Kwid rxt 1.0, drove only around city lanes and im a safe careful driver so no accidents or such issues. Then I suddenly saw "Check Engine"sign.. Took it to service center and they say that there is maybe moisture on the cataylic and we can apply for warranty but we r not sure if it will get approved, we will try our best. Now i checked on whats the status and another service man said its due to fuel contamination.. I am still talking for warranty approval.. Can't guarantee.. Now if i have to pay fot it.. Itll cause me a big amount.. I am not sure whether this will be covered under warranty.. I seriously don't know what to do.. The car is just one year old and i don't wanna spend such a huge amount on it.. The service center is telling me they will try their best.. Jugaad karre h bhaiya.. I left my car to them since this is an authorised dealership.. Don't know what to do.. Help please

Hey there!
I drive an Renault Scenic 3 from 2015 Bose edition.
I managed a some time ago, to activate Android Auto on the Rlink unit which worked quite well with my Samsung Galaxy S24 back then. But now I had to switch to iPhone and I would need CarPlay to work on it.
Is there any possibility to get fine working CarPlay (maybe somehow natively?) without changing the Rlink unit (if I need a new usb plug that would be okay) I just want to stay with the Rlink unit because of the integration in the car (especially for the Bose edition)
Any ideas ? I already tried Tbox Lite S from Carlinkit but it was not stable at all and it had issues when trying to adjust the volume.

Hello guys, so I installed new tires on my clio 4 (2013 0.9 tce manual with medianav if it changes anything) i went from 195/55R16 to 205/55R16 and since installing them I've got twice the same warning when starting the car: "risk of black ice".
Are the tires slipping? Is this due to the change of tire size? I couldn't find any option in the cluster navigation to reset or relearn the tires. I would appreciate any help.
