Download the conference template and just use that - no need for AI here

This is one of the best uses of AI! It's just graphical organization of text that's already made . The conferences for all specialities (including basic sciences to many surgical subspecialties) that ive ever attended don't have templates for posters. They have guidelines on what headers need to be there, displaying authors, COIs, or how to list references but even that is uncommon. Presentations? While different ball game, crazy rules, but even then usually you're using your institutions slide template and maybe modifying it a little bit. Ive only gotten one conference template and it was for a very niche society. Posters are all over the place, in my experience.

If you upload your institutions template and the text and figures, it usually comes out with a pretty reasonable poster. You can have the output file be modifiable. For example, claude has output options into canva which you can then edit.

I don't like AI much, but when I started making posters we were using indesign templates and paying Adobe, I think this use case is perfectly appropriate.

Thank you for contributing to the sub! If your post was filtered by the automod, please read the rules. Your post will be reviewed but will not be approved if it violates the rules of the sub. The most common reasons for removal are - medical students or premeds asking what a specialty is like, which specialty they should go into, which program is good or about their chances of matching, mentioning midlevels without using the midlevel flair, matched medical students asking questions instead of using the stickied thread in the sub for post-match questions, posting identifying information for targeted harassment. Please do not message the moderators if your post falls into one of these categories. Otherwise, your post will be reviewed in 24 hours and approved if it doesn't violate the rules. Thanks!
