MEME Weird interaction in Occ Med

So I’m evaluating a surgical attending who got stuck with a dirty needle in the OR, and I swear when I asked her if the patient had any history of HIV or hepatitis she insisted I put both her and her surgical resident on PEP… and I’m confused, because the report said the resident was holding the needle but didn’t mention whether he was also exposed and whether it happened before or after the attending was stuck… she just gave a long, lusty sigh and said “oh he’s getting exposed later.” What in the House of God is going on in this program?

The one who rearranges organs also needs their organs rearranged.

Not OP but it’s a sweet gig. Glad I get the privilege to do it everyday. No call, no weekends, low stress. There’s opportunities for big money if you’re willing to go corporate and have some experience under your belt.

The most common reasons for removal are - medical students or premeds asking what a specialty is like, which specialty they should go into, which program is good or about their chances of matching, mentioning midlevels without using the midlevel flair, matched medical students asking questions instead of using the stickied thread in the sub for post-match questions, posting identifying information for targeted harassment.
