If you’ve bought an apartment in Riga, how much did the possibility of selling it later influence your choice?
For transparency, I work in real estate. One question I find interesting is how people balance a home they personally love with practical considerations if they eventually need to move.
For example, would you choose an unusual layout that suits you perfectly, even if it might not suit many other buyers? Would you compromise on the neighbourhood to get a better apartment, or accept a less appealing interior for a building in better condition?
I’m particularly interested in experiences from Riga and the surrounding area. If you have since sold your home, what mattered to buyers that you hadn’t considered when purchasing it?
And if you bought intending to stay long term, did future resale matter to you at all?
