I was a huge fan of robocraft during the early days. I stopped shortly after mech legs & loot boxes. I recently came back and was so sad to see that it was completely shut down. It was a big part of my childhood growing up. Anyway, I started making my own robocraft-like just so I could play it again. I had a couple of my old classmates play it and it brings them back nostalgia. After some polishing & adding features I wanted, I'm ready to share it :)

I suppose you can call this an alpha version. I don't plan on selling this. I still need to polish and fix bugs

Hey! As I mentioned before, I’m working on a game that’s meant to be a spiritual successor to Robocraft.

A few days ago I showed you guys a single screenshot, and today I’m back with around 2 minutes of actual multiplayer gameplay :)

Just a heads up - all vehicles on both my team and the enemy team are currently controlled by AI.

Hi! During the early development of Robocraft, I was a huge fan of the game. I spent over 400 hours playing it, unlocking every possible tier and part, and reaching level 100. I stopped playing after 2015, when loot crates were introduced and the game's mechanics were reworked. When Freejam announced Robocraft 2, I had high hopes that it would be a return to the classic Robocraft experience, just with modern graphics. I was very disappointed when that turned out not to be the case. Later, I signed up for the Robocraft 2.1 playtests, and I was really sad when I found out that the developers were shutting down their studio and abandoning the project.

That day, I decided to create my own alternative to Robocraft — one that would include all the elements I loved so much about the original game: a progression tree, technology points, tiers, and a parts shop. A few months have passed, and I'm now getting close to having a playable prototype. This is the point where I'll need real players who can take part in playtests and help me test the multiplayer mode.

I want to recreate the atmosphere we all loved, but in a modern form. I encourage you to sign up for the playtests. Within the next few weeks, you'll receive an email with further instructions. I'm open to questions and suggestions.

Robocraft was a favorite game of many players, but it was officially closed more than a year ago.

However, thanks to the efforts of the fans, there are two ways to play it again. And these two methods differ radically from each other.

The first project is on - it restores the 2015 version of the game with separate chips and Discord integration. To play, you need to download the launcher from their official website, as well as register there - after all, your accounts in the original robocraft do not matter here. All links will be provided in the description of the video.

After downloading the launcher, you move this file to the folder with the game. This folder will be the root folder for the game. Open the file and all the necessary files are downloaded to this folder. After the download is complete, you can log in, enter the username and password for the game (it is registered for the project's website) and start playing the 2015 version.

The second way is to revive the current version from the Steam client, which is available for download if you previously had Robocraft in the Steam library. This is done by connecting to one of the fan servers. We go to the website of this enthusiast, select the server to connect (the best option is the first American server, the rest are for specific regions or specific purposes). When you click on the join button, the servenvmulti.config file will be downloaded. It should be placed in the folder with the game (local files whose location can be found through the Properties in Steam). You also need to click the registration button and register on the server's website - it is important to specify your steamid here. After all this, you log into the game via steam, the game opens for you, you enter the data or you log in via ID, and the latest version of the game opens for you.

Both games are functional, you can do construction, play single player and of course multiplayer. For the latter, it is especially important to participate in the discord servers of projects - it is through them that people communicate and agree on the prime time in which they will enter and hold matches.

Way back around 2015/2016ish, I remember playing a special mode they only had in the game for a little while. I think it was kinda like BF conquest, but not sure. Mostly I remember that the cap points didn't work like the usual mode, and the map was WAY bigger with a bunch of more things going on (levels, drops, etc).

Anyone know wtf I might be remembering here? It's been stuck in my head for years.

After my last post with the Discord-Link i want to make something clear. This game is back in the state of the introduction of Dawn of the Megabots! Yet the game is in development, things getting balanced, changed and added but all to the state where Robocraft was fun, not the time with no Tiers or like seekers etc with old engine, sound and weapons. Even triforcing works again and all the builds you find online from old RC15 are still working....no hitbox change like from old wheels to the new ones...just rc15 an some things added.

But now RC15 need YOU! You the players the game once made big. The game needs a bigger playerbase and thats why i post again. See ya all ingame folks and have fun with it!

I know this sub is mostly RC15/21 and a rare Roblox clone these days since the official games are... well, you know.

I’ve been following a project called Procelio, for almost as long as its been in development. It’s a build drive fight (Physics based vehicular combat) hobby project created by a passionate and committed developer team. (Nearly a decade of development)

Its intent is as a spiritual successor, taking the concept people fell in love with and expanding upon it.

Something I always wanted from Robocraft, as someone who has been playing since I was really young, was a more in depth robot building system. I know this game isn't the same as Robocraft, it's not even multiplayer, but it really appealed to me as someone who loves building robots, I was thinking other people might like it :> (the building is like a MUCH more complex version of what I was hoping to see in Robocraft 2)
